I think dropping Nolan is a fair shout. His performances in the last two games were amongst the worst and nobody is above being dropped. A more mobile and aggresive midfielder might do a better job for us in the game. For me though we play him up behind a lone striker, but i'm not gonna dis you for this suggestion!

People complain about Nolan's ineffectivity (is that a word?), why not play him where he is effective.

For those of you who are saying Williamson has only made one mistake this season:

-Williamson wrong side of Ebanks Blake lead to wolves opener. Wolves 1-1 NUFC
-Williamson couldnt clear the ball leading to Nzogbia scoring. NUFC 2-2 Wigan
-Williamson later sent off/ plenty of errors. Bolton 5-1 NUFC
-Williamson embarressed by a lower league team. Stevenage 3-1 NUFC
-lost Van persie twice leading to two goals. NUFC 4-4 Arsenal
-Couldnt head a ball out of his own box, out muscled by Suarez, couldnt stick with his man/ ball watching. Liverpool 3-0 NUFC

harsh but IMO I think he has dropped more than one clanger this season, therefore I think Taylor should start. People are using the Bargin for £1 mil argument, that doesnt make a difference. Even if you are a bargin if theres someone better than you on the bench then I think they should be starting, not the 'bargin'

I think Nolan will score if he plays on Sat, which he will. He relishes playing the likes of Wolves, Birmingham etc. Yes the big teams can easily keep him out of the game but he's more than a match for teams lower down the league.

Thing is though, if Taylor had played every game Williamson had, I'd put money on his list of faults being twice as long as that one. His positional play and decision making are appalling at times.

Also some of them are harsh, the entire team was embarrassed by Stevenage, and the Bolton game was a catalogue of errors. The total points lost by Williamson alone is not that many.

Would definitely be up for trying either of those lineups, the one with Ferguson in it especially, I had forgotten about him <ok>

Maybe he would, maybe he would'nt. The only way we could find out is by playing him. Competiton is the best thing for clubs. If a player has a shocker, he normally gets dropped, thus cutting out further errors by making him concentrate for his place. It happens at every other club in the premier league, so why cant it happen in ours?

It should, but then Shola would only have played about 20 career games for us. You need to give them another chance after a bad game or we'd have to make 5 or 6 changes from the Liverpool game.

At the moment we dont have 5 or 6 players to replace those with, aswell as them not really making any shockers in the match. But if we do have a more than capable player on the bench, then I think they definitely should come in.

Might aswell stick with same 11 that we played against Liverpool - strongly fancy us to beat Birmingham who are a really poor team IMO

3-1 victory. Nolan, Lovenkrands, Shola for us, Jerome for them

Not the worst. The worst surely has to be the team which don't have any strikers.....

I think Vuckic must be injured because I think he would have made more appearances by now :/...

Probably for the best, I'd like to think 2 seasons on loan then displace Nolan in the side and become a better player.

Yeah, same with Ranger - hopefully they would go away and bang goals in and come back better players
