I would keep Morrison Jackson Holt Martin and Vaughn.....Axe Cody Wilbrahams and Johnson.....Or loan out
I wouldn't dispute the logic of that but the practicalities? Martin - He would be seen as the 5th striker. With his ego would he be happy with a few appearances on the bench and even fewer appearances on the pitch or could he turn into a disruptive influence? Cody - said all this before. Last year of his contract, not a kid anymore, never scored regularly higher than Div 2 etc etc. Not worth another contract so sell. Johnson - can't recall how long he has left on his contract. If 2 years, send out on loan if someone will pay his wages. Wilbrahams is a major problem. Came here as a last big money move at the end of his career so unlikely to want to give that up with 12 months left on his contract just to play a few games. It was this reason plus the impact value of his height that I considered him to be the best option for fifth striker.
The word on the streets is McDonald could command up to 550k if we sold him, I wouldn't turn that type of money down, however I'd be interested to see him on loan at a Championship team but we need to get the numbers sorted for the squad too and for me getting more defenders is the priority. I'd sell Wilbrohamovic and Johnson.
