Just what I was thinking Whitburn.

Be a nightmare for this young lad to come to us and us expecting him to be better than Catts.
I'm relying on Gus knowing the lad.
But playing well in the Prem takes a very special sort of player.

Catts does a hell of a lot of chasing down he gets no praise for and in a better side than ours he wouldn't have to work so hard. This hard graft leads to errors eventually as it does with other top players.
When top players make mistakes no one moans, just look at Rooney I have seen him make 4 or 5 really bad passes in a row giving the ball away easily, yet his other good play negates any complaints.
Catts makes one mistake and is hung out to dry no matter how well the rest of his game was.
I did laugh at the Catts should have been sent off and wasn't comment by someone else above mind. :p
    Unbelievable.

We just don't have the numbers to let him go. Even if Bridcutt signs. Regardless of catts ability (I'm a fan) let him go and bridcutt gets injured it leaves seb, gards, colback and Ki competing for 3 positions. Don't think even ki could keep us up is Gards is to become a regular which is a real possibility even now if we pick up an injury. <yikes>

Said the other day about Ki we seem to be building the team around him, which if he doesn't stay could end up in a nightmare scenario trying to find someone to replace him.

Agreed. Even if we sign Ki we could do with another couple of Ki's. Hope Gus has his eye on some talent.

The team we have put out tonight is more than capable in the Prem but as you say a couple more players and we can start thinking about improving big time.

Especially if they have composure and can pick a pass.

Agree fella I think we can stay up on what we've got but I'd rather we strengthened than leave anything to chance. Like I said, a couple of injuries could cause some major problems.
