I spoke to my mate who is a Man City season ticket holder at the time when we signed him and he said that Toure would be a good signing, especially on a free. Said that he may not be as quick as he was 4 or 5 years ago but was a solid player who can still do more than a decent job for a top Prem club. Decent in the air which is something missing from out current CB's. Just watching the Celtic game, the amount of attacking free kicks and corners that he either got on the end of or was near by was impressive. More than just a coincidence that he get's into those position. He also did well defending crosses, getting a tiny flick or a decent header clear.
