Normally I wouldn't describe the aforementioned players as 'negative'. I remind you that I think the overall skill level of all the players ( including German ) is good enough for far higher than 20th in L1.

However, on Saturday Taylor got it wrong with the way he deployed these players when they came onto the pitch. He put players out of position and created problems that simply weren't there beforehand. As for German - it is obvious that Taylor lacked any motivation for the player. He should have told German to grab a chance of minutes on the pitch to work himself into the ground - but that was hardly evident - did German even get his boots dirty ?

Over a number of posts I have listed many of the faults with Taylor's tactics - tactics that keep failing far too often - despite a decent enough squad. My sentiments have been echoed by most of our members. I still maintain that it is the tactics ( and the incorrect use of personnel ) that is dragging us down the league - not the skill of the players. On this point I will quote one example that keeps cropping up - that being our defence of corners. Why do we still have everybody in our penalty / 6 yard box ? If the ball is 'cleared' it will ALWAYS keep coming straight back at us - in a position where there are too many opposing forwards in our penalty area for my liking - the risk of conceding is considerably higher than if we at least left one 'up front.' I could go on, but I credit you with more intelligence than Taylor to understand my point.

I know that I'm no football team manager - but there are basic errors that keep recurring -which I'm amazed that Taylor cannot understand. But with the use of German instead of Kedwell, and with the awful positioning of the personnel when the subs came on, I am now dread to think what will inspire Taylor's decisions in future - rather than a lack of common sense.

Oh Well - looks like I've got one less thing about which to complain ( hopefully )

We were so negative in the 1st half v Bristol City - and Taylor did nothing until we were 0-2 down.

In the 2nd half we made a decent game of the match - although a superb 3rd goal ( worthy of winning any game ) killed off our chances - but we were facing a huge challenge at the time. Our play in that 2nd half shows that we CAN give the division leaders problems -so why has Taylor not employed tactics to try to win games - well he may have plenty of unemployed time to reflect on his failures - that will only have repercussions for the Gills come next May -if we can't get away from the bottom 4 places.
