Great pair, Taylor a fair bit better though.

I reckon Colo edges it, if only for that goal he scored about three feet in front of me at Forest <wizard>

But I must admit I have been impressed with Taylor. I remember last season up until Williamson hurt himself (broke his arm?) I was backing him to partner Colo. When Taylor returned around april he was bloody cack for a few games (Villa springs to mind, albeit with Colo playing CM). Well done Steven, well done.

Agree with that comments that they compliment eachother very well but unfortunately what I think they both lack is pace, both are painfully slow at times and we might struggle against teams with quicker strikers.

No complaints so far though and I cant remember us having a stronger pair at the back for a long time, I must admit I never thought Taylor was going to make much of himself, but he seems to have put his injuries behind him and is proving me and a lot of people wrong. Good on him and long may it continue.

Coloccini overall is the better defender though, he just has that extra touch of class that Taylor doesn't have its close though.

Have to say Colo for me.

I think part of Taylor's form is down to the leadership from Colo at the back, pop Bramble next to him and I think Taylor would not be producing the same form (though I may be wrong, he does seem to have matured).

I do admire Talyor's commitment though - how many balls has he cleared off the line this season and end of last?!

That's not fair <laugh> Gerard Pique would struggle next to Bramble!

True true! Phillipe Mexes would struggle even more - Bramble may get confused by his feminine looks ....

  18. Erm why Saylor?

I could see big Stevie Taylor being a Toon center half for a long time, and be a local legend. Not to the same level as Shearer but still a legend.

Because when the time comes Ashley will bully him out of the club. Wouldn't surprise me if he bullied Ashley out, anyhow he may be surplus to requirements by then <laugh>.
