The thing is, people can say what they want about Ben arfa and cabaye, but from watching them play you can see that they are step up from what we already had at the club. They are also full French internationals and they are by no means a shabby team.....better than england anyway. Going to be an interesting season. You have made some good signings and some that I personally don't rate. But that's life, everyone has an opinion.
Bramble and Collocini are both an accident waiting to happen, they have both had their fair share of blunders. and he never said Gardner was better than Tiote, he said gardner played more attacking, so you cant really compare like for like.
Read what I said mate. I didn't say Bramble was better, but the way he was playing for us was as good as Coloccini for you. And Coloccini's been crap before last season. And I said Gardner plays more up front than either Tiote or Cattermole, i.e. the comparison wasn't accurate. I'd actually take Tiote over Cattermole or Gardner, as it happens, but they play slightly different roles. And, yeah, I do slate what he said as most of it was crap.
Cabaye's a decent player, Marveaux i doubt will make an impression. Everybody thinks they have the fittest lass mate.
I'm not knocking either of them, largely because I have never seen them play. But I do have the fittest lass, as it happens...
I beg to differ, mind i don't think i've looked above the breasts in 2 and a half years with the missus, she could be a BOBFOC...
Strange, but true. Posted an article on it myself I was so surprised: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/60294-Are-FIFA-taking-the-piss-or-what
France are 15th so they are nowhere near 4th, but it was their World Cup debacle that scuppered them, and the defeat at home to Belarus and draw away to the same team in EQ.
Krul> Gordon is the best keeper in the NE. Period. Mignolet on a par with Krul and Westwood has no EPL experience so isnt as good yet. Enrique > Bardsley - I like Enrique and so do Liverpool where he will be playing next season therefore I wouldn't swap Bardo for him Coloccini > O Shea - show me Hair Bears medals again. No contest Barton > Larsson - Even Stevens except I can guarantee 100% Larsson will be playing for us next season Tiote > Gardner/Cattermole wouldn't swap either of ours for the dirtiest footballer in England Ben Arfa > Sessegnon - Sess every day. We know what we are getting now whereas you're lot are just hoping Arfa can live up to the hype Ba > Gyan - you have to be ****ing joking though chum. Tell me someone, he is ****ing joking isn't he? No contest for the Ghanaian World Cup superstar. Tell me, how many goals did 'glass 4 legs' score in South Africa last year? Best > Whickham - yeah cos Arsenal and Liverpool were gutted to lose out in the race for Leon Best weren't they? FFS get real ya plank. You can tell yourselves you have good players until the cows come home but that will count for **** all when the season kicks off. Oh and by the way, we havent finished shopping yet and its not £1m haggling sessions for Swansea right backs were after either. SAFC = Top NE Club (and that's official)
Krul > Westwood...Krul, we have been shown on the highest level what he can do, but would put Gordon ahead, struggles to stay fit though. Enrique > Bardsley...Enrique, simple as that. Coloccini > Bramble...Coloccini all the way, Colo conceded 2, Bramble conceded 6. Barton > Larsson...Barton all the way. Tiote > Gardner/Cattermole...Tiote. Ben Arfa > Sessegnon...I believe Ben Arfa will be better but at the moment its Sess. Ba > Gyan...Gyan, but please don't bring up international football to back up his club football, doesn't work like that. Goals to games in the premier league, Ba has a better record... Best > Whickham...Both Championship strikers.
Cest, you've dissected our players like you watch them week in week out. Jonas is not a **** player, his game goes under the radar. Yes, his end product is poor, but he brings alot more to our side. In possession, he is a very capable player and he draws out opposition players which creates the space we need to attack. It's easy on the outside looking in to say he is ****, but he is not a **** player, he is quite important to how we mount our attacks. You've said it in your sentence about gyan in your last post there. Superstar for ghana, but he has only shown glimpses of that form for Sunderland. I do rate him however.
True enough, arguing over who has signed who and who are the better players is daft though. A player could be ****e for one team, but slot comfortably in to the next or on the flip side, you could sign a top rated player who just doesn't fit into your system. Damien duff anyone?????
Fantastic point, add Geremi, Viduka and Smith could also be added to that list. Buying clubs rejects may not work all the time.
That's it like. By the looks of what pardew is doing, we will be changing our system to suit our signings. Time will tell though. Still a month and half of the transfer window left yet so no doubt more ins and outs.
Viduka was a class player, but what a knob! Blew the last years of his career eating pies when he could have been going out in a blaze of glory. Compare what Giggs has been doing at his age. Knobbing other women excepted, obviously.
