Rumour going around that Taylor has been sacked and Wayne Carlisle has also gone. Dan Hargraves has confirmed on twitter. https://x.com/DanJHargraves/status/1868366671259603167
There was an article on Bristol Live that his position was being considered, don't know who will be in charge for the Wrexham match, but whoever comes in needs some serious backing to get this show on the road
Good. Take Horseman too. Time for some competence because what Taylor and his crew have offered has been utterly dire.
I honestly don’t think it needs much fixing. We have some good quality players, competition for places and a reasonable balance of youth and experience. The problem has been that they are badly coached and whatever system Taylor has been trying to implement (I have no idea what it is) just doesn’t work. Look at what Forde, Sotiriou, Omochere, Hutchinson, Martin, Sinclair etc did last season. All vastly better than the rubbish they’re serving up this season. The players have lost confidence and part of the reason for this is that the manager is a really poor motivator and tactician. I believe that a new, competent manager with a bit about him would get these players performing. Neil Harris is available.
Mark Robins is fantasy football stuff, he wouldn’t come to us in a month of Sundays. Harris was doing well with Millwall until they bizarrely parted ways. We could look abroad maybe. Anyone has to be better than Taylor. Watching his brand of football is soul destroying.
Maybe we can get some of our loan players back, no GK on the bench because he is not rated good enough, Shaw on loan at Yeovil and we have a dearth of attacking ideas, Thomas not given a chance because he kept playing wingbacks, and Martin is either not fit or can't be bothered, so we need a FIT STRIKER who can score goals
Yeah, like I said, Robins would be highly unlikely. Doubt he would drop to L1 and would cost a lot on wages as Hargraves said he was high earner manager at Championship level.
