gave nothing less than 100%, played an instrumental role in getting us up, good luck taylor……..<ok>

thats john and fabio vying for LB now.

Yeh have to agree gave nothing but 100%. Was slow but a very good defender <ok> Wish him the best of luck at Wigwam <applause>

Taylor signed a two-year contract extension on 16 November 2012, tying him to the Club until 2016.

Not sure but I think we got him on a free transfer.

To have only one left footed left back, and a youngster at that, leaves us a bit thin in that position so hopefully OGS has a replacement up his sleeve.

Or, we are progressing towards the 1 - 10 formation by offloading all our defenders.

We still got enough fb's if Fabio is left side cover. Kev can play there too. That's John first choice and 2 decent players for cover. Where/if Brayford fits in will be interesting. He's definitely good enough for a top Championship side so I see no reason he shouldn't be brought back into the fold. John, Fabio, Brayford, Kev can't be far away for a Championship setup. I know there's only one left footer in there but Liverpool just finished 2nd in the PL without one so it can't be that bigger problem!

Not necessarily a problem Steve but better balance with a left footed left back - hence Declan should be first choice there.

Better with a leftie going forward and also defensively if the winger wants to go down the outside. If he cuts inside then that is where the left sided centre back comes in to cover.

Just my view and time will tell. <ok>

Fabio is a left footed left back.

He can also play right back but hes a natural left back.

Anyway good luck to Taylor but Declan and Fabio are miles better. Taylor - good left left foot , good crosser of the ball , decent passer , decent in possession , slow and very vulverable when attacked.

I knew Fabio was happy on the left, always seemed pretty 2 footed.

Agree with your assessment of Taylor, good luck to him though he'll do a job for Wigan in this league.

In fairness to that poor start he'd played **** all football and was thrown into a **** side v most of last seasons top 4! Once he got a bit of football under his belt he looked a quality asset to me. He's too good for the championship and will show that if he stays fit imo.

Fabio was a liabiltiy when he first arrived. Quick getting forward but defensively he was skinned because of his poor awareness. He often lost his man and was beaten by the through ball because he was hopelessly out of position.

The last few games though, Fabs improved out of all recognition and was easily the most improved player in the squad. I think Ole played Taylor in the Palace debacle (wasn't Fabio injured in the game before?) and it showed down the left side.

Didn't think so at first, but I'd take Fabio now anytime over Tayls on the left if Declan is out of favour, and he'd be my first choice on the right ahead of KTC who can blow very hot and cold.

As has been said, good luck to Taylor, but it looks like his lack of pace isn't going to suit Ole's gameplan - that's if he's got one yet......<laugh>

Interesting. He did quite well in the champ I thought. I would have put him down as a rotation player. We need to replace him, and I imagine they must have someone better lined up.
