Fair enough BRB, you did state some reservations about Cody, but it wasn't because he was returning just because you weren't sure about him in this league.

The point around getting behind PT was by no means based towards you, I fully understand what kind of fan you are and that you, like me and many others on here would support the Gills fully even if Steve Evans was bought in as Manager (to be honest though i would struggle if this ever happened!) it's more towards those who are planning or considering forms of protests, the last thing we need is a divided camp from a fans perspective so I am hoping we can all unite behind PT and particularly the team, we need a result and 2 wins out of these 2 home games would be fantastic, and by no means unachievable.

Thanks. In regards to expectations over the next two games, I spoke to alwaysright on the way back from Shrewsbury under the still then guidance of MA, the discussion was around four points out of the next two games. I will hold that same expectation for PT as well. Although Preston is going to be a difficult game, so maybe a draw for that one and a win against Notts County. If it does not happen it does not happen and I will not be on PT's case. However, I'm getting concerned at being a 1/4 way through the season that 51/53 point target for survival will start becoming a mountain to climb.

Agreed, i am constantly doing the maths in regards to points per games played and quite simply, we have to step it up now.

Preston have lost 3 on the bounce i believe, so will be under more pressure than us, particularly after their somewhat shocking defeat last week.

I would be pleased with 4 points as you suggest, but i really think we need to win as manay home games as possible if we're going to have a chance of staying up, apart from Crewe we have defended horribly away from home.

He only got Hull double promoted....

I was living in the area at the time, got to watch them go up twice and they played some fantastic football. Put it this way; if we go down under him, we'll go down playing the right way.

I don't like the way we sacked Martin Allen on Sunday and appointed Peter Taylor as a "Interim Manager" less then twenty four hours after Martin Allen's departure, that left a sour taste in my mouth and earlier on Monday Paul Scally said that John Schofield was going to take charge of the first team and then a few hours later Peter Taylor gets announced as interim Manager.

I will turn up at Priestfield Stadium backing Gillingham to all three points tomorrow, but I do hope that someone else gets the managerial position at Gillingham and not Peter Taylor, I am not a fan of sentimental managerial appointments and if Peter Taylor comes back to Gillingham and fails to keep us up then his record in 1999 / 2000 is not only tarnished, but we would be questioning the boards decision to sack Martin Allen who may have kept us up anyway.

I just don't think Paul Scally has considered all the options available to him, I think there are other managerial appointments we need to explore rather then look to appoint Peter Taylor.
