Over to my husband- "Puskas ' the Galloping Major'. Saw the 1953 match at Wembley when Hungary demolished England 6-3. It was my first international match and an incredible experience with the 105,000 attendance stunned by the inability of England to touch the ball for seemingly endless periods completely bamboozed by the deep lying centre forward play of Hidegkuti and the wizardry of Puskas. They scored 5 goals between them.

Always will remember the after match reaction with pundits saying that it was a 'one off' and England would beat them the next time they played. The return match was played in Budapest the following year and this time Hungary won 7-1 using a 4-2-4 formation perfected by the Hungarian coach. In England it was the beginning of the end for the 2-3-5 formation."

Surely that shows you should be looking at the bloke's talent rather than weight alone. Puskas had more talent in his little finger than Stewart, afterall, we're talking about a player who played in World Cups and for the great Real Madrid sides. On the other hand, Stewart couldn't get a game for City, Burnley or Yeovil. The comparison is an odd one.

Although, the weight of someone does count in modern football, because it shows how professional you are.

There are higher expectations on the players from managers, whereas before they enjoyed boozing heavily, now it's more in line of a Boxer's training regime.
