Robingram02 - or something like that! Are you for real - anonymity! Got to chortle at that! From your equally uninformed opinion, maybe you might explain how someone who draws professional wages can be berrated by another, nationally acclaimed professional, as overweight and out-of-shape - in other words physically unable to fulfill their contract. Are you defending him? i
You seem to have missed my point. It's very easy to cast aspersions on someone you don't know. I mean we've hardly seen him for the last 3 or 4 months, O just don't understand how you are so sure he's arrogant. Whenever I've heard him in interviews he's seemed like a nice enough kid, things have conspired against him and his careers stuttered big time, and if he's overweight that is something he should sort out, but I don't see where the arrogant tag originates from.
His weight, his style of play, his attitude - all add up to arrogance. You might not agree; you don't have to. I never missed your point, this is a forum and aspersions get cast left, right and centre. If he is over weight then perhaps it is Pukka that has conspired against him; there must be someone else we can blame, surely?
I dout he is overweight in our sense of the word. Me been a fat bastard anarl, diet starts Monday by the way, but probably a few pounds in footballing terms is poor. He certainly wasnt a stone or so. Still a slight windy ****er. I do think the injury hurt him psychologically, but i think Pearsons unsettling of him affected him more, as i say quite weak psychologically. Bruce gave him a fresh start and he didnt take it, and still hasnt. But come on the abuse he's getting on here is not helping and not supportive. Easy to say **** him etc and i called him as much as anyone yesterday, but he's here for 18 months. THeres a player in there somewhere, he needs support to work it out.
Cam Stewart is still on the roller coaster of football. On one hand managers are putting him up on a pedestal and on the other hand he is not playing as well as he hoped. Lets face the fact that here is a kid who has been at the biggest of clubs, real stardom has been close enough for him to reach out and grab it and then he is let go. He had/has high hopes, but he has failed to deliver. Steve Bruce was wrong in his approach. He is the manager and he should have known that Stewart was not fit. But he expected the lad to come from another club in better shape. Is it Stewarts fault that he is not fit? Sadly I don't think it is. SB berated him for a back pass, that Nigel Pearson would have applauded. Individually our players let the club down yesterday, but that is hardly unexpected is it. Are our second string some far removed from getting into the squad that they have lost the aspiration? The whole squad has to have the capability of playing at Championship level. It is the responsibility of the coaching staff to get players up to speed. Player who draw Championship wages need to show that they would fit seamlessly into the first team not be a liability. It is the clubs fault that we were ****e yesterday. No one can escape the blame.
I wonder what they actually did offer in the 'laughable' offer we received previously? I know figures were speculated at of around £2m, if so its a bit of a pisser. But like said, I'd snap their hands off at £300k now and it's hardly like Inter being offered £40m for Sneijder last season and now they'd let him go for free. That's football.
I don't like this, can see a ****ing mile off, we sell him for 300k and he gets right back to his best then we meet Leicester in the play offs and Stewart rips us a new one
He was awful, but lets look at it from this perspective. He hasn't played for ages. SB will get the best out of him or he'll be on his bike to the likes of Burton Albion or he'll be gone for a Burton.
If its true what is being said then this young man needs to take a close look at his lifestyle and attitude to the game. He is wasting a very good opportunity which he will only get once in his career. If he has let himself go as much as it is being suggested he has then he will be out of the door and on the scrapheap.
I can't see us and Leicester both finishing in the play-offs, one of the two will get auto's so i wouldn't worry about Stewart stinging us that way.
I met him once in Port Said in Egypt, he was rather tubby then, but was a long time after he had retired playing.

(whose factory is very near Leicester) It's a conspiracy I tell you. I didn't realise this was a forum, I thought it was an Aldi. Where can I find the cherry tomatoes you currently have on offer? PPS I blame television or religion. You pick.
