My point was in reference to the statements made by Chelsea fans in here that they would be patient and have conceded they'll endure a couple of years outside Champions Lge, 5th or 6th I think was the reference, which I thought was a commendable approach, you don't finish 5th or 6th without losing a few games....
For me its not so much who they need to sign but rather who they need to get rid of! Anybody with a brain can see there has been and still are huge problems in the dressing room! As others have said the likely culprits are Terry, Lampard, Drogba and possibly Anelka. This has been going on since Maureen left; Scholari ousted, Grant seemed to be more tolerated than accepted, Hiddink was excellent and Ancelotti's reign ended with an implosion in which he hinted that there were big problems there. For AVB to stand any chance he needs to get rid of Terry for me; this would send a clear indication to all the rest that he is in charge and would show where Abramovich's loyalties lie.

I understand what Boas is trying to do, and i pity him, because the fans obviously don't get it. He can see the squad is over the hill and he's doing his level best to play his style with an unsuitable squad. You don't become a bad manager overnight, this is still the same guy who won numerous trophies with Porto last season. Don't be suprised to see a lot of the Porto side playing for Chelsea soon. Hulk is an obvious name, then you have talented youngsters like James Rodriguez etc.
Because, like you, he can't resist having a pop at Chelsea whenever given the oppertunity, grow up. He's a businessman, he still wouldn't throw away all this money. You are a very naive person if you think he would.
