The bbc bosses have lost really no matter what happens, if he comes out and says sorry to keep them happy, everyone knows what he really thinks so what’s that going to achieve, they’ll still look like dick head’s thinking they’ve won.
Of course they have, they look ridiculous. And what happens if Claudia Winkleman, next week, says the government aren't doing enough to make sure women are safe on our streets ... ... will they suspend her and 'try to iron out a compromise'. It's an absolute shambles of their own making. Saturday 22nd October: Party leader. "Referencing the madness of Truss resigning after 44 days in office and becoming the shortest-serving Prime Minister in history, Claudia introduced children’s TV presenter Hamza with a sly remark. ‘Still to come, Hamza [Yassin] takes on a tricky ballroom dance and if he’s any good at leading, the country’s got a job for him,’ she quipped, earning a laugh from the audience and fellow Strictly stars."
Yes, you can always stand up. But Moore, Stock and Weiss all lost their jobs. Others too, which was the product of either very weak University leadership, or very highly politicised editors. I've also had a load of ****e hoyed at me and I couldn't give one at all. But I don't use any of these forums.
No. I wouldn't be watching it anyway, but if it was scheduled it should have been shown. As I've said, the BBC is the problem. It is an anachronism, and will be constantly under pressure from every bedroom warrior with a keyboard or phone. Take the public money away, and they don't have to answer many of these questions at all.
I heard a great explanation in a podcast recently explaining the attitude - 'how quickly can I put you into a box that allows me to justify dismissing everything you say'
They need no help on that front. How pathetic of them to put pressure on the BBC to stop the nasty man from being allowed to speak his mind.
Fair enough. Moore was a very long standing reporter at The Guardian. Weiss the same at the NYT. Stock was a professor at Sussex University for about twenty years . They were all forced out of their jobs for declaring, basic, known biological facts about women.
I wouldn't be sanctifying Lineker mind. He is a character who lives for himself and himself only. His intricate tax affairs and evasive and changing behaviour with HMRC shows that much. And if he wants to pull any government down, all he has to do is get into the dirty work of standing for election and have his ideas examined. I won't be holding my breath.
To be fair, that's nothing like what Lineker's said. Are you agreeing with Lineker or saying he should be suspended. I'm not really sure what point you're making.
The Director General or somebody rather high up at the BBC was interviewed on Radio 5 last night, and was practically begging Lineker to come back with gushing praise of his prowess as a broadcaster. Truth is, they have painted themselves into a corner and whatever they do they are going to look like idiots. Lineker must be laughing his tits off, he can't lose. This is what happens when you let politics or politicians vicariously through employers decide what can or can't be said by a citizen outside of his place of work. Still it took the headlines away from Matty boy's What'sapp revelations didn't it.
as long as his little cabal travel with him. They , Sky, are about to drop their bidding For football I read somewhere.
Dear BBC, Imagine my utter dismay when turning on my TV on a Sunday night only to see that loony leftie woke pensioner David Attenborough being given a platform to spout his bile about our wonderful government. I shall be sending a strongly worded letter to my Tory MP demanding he is taken off our screens, what is this country coming to? Yours angrily, Doris Bluerinse, Norfolk.
