awesome typo that one Hopefully nobody is "Prononce" on here... Chris Waddle "Pelanty"! is another one!! Seriously does my box in!
Yeah, exactly, it's as though correcting people is a form of discrimination.....neverleless, it's like watching a child without education speak !
Is a. Nevertheless. There’s generally no space between a word and exclamation mark. Otherwise a solid 7/10. Keep it up.
Golf is totally different. Its generally not a team sport. Its the individual that wins. But for example, in the womans Ryder Cup (a team event), cant remember the official name, would you expect a male team captain, even though they dont get to swing a club? Nope. Because its a womans event. If I went up to Phil Neville and said 'Thats a nice medal you have there Phil, what did you win it for?' 'I got it for winning the womens football world cup.' Just doesnt seem right to me, a man winning a medal for a womans event.
I don't mean to discriminate but it's more like a 3/10. He seems to have discounted hundreds of years of regional accents and dialect, in favour of calling these people uneducated. Plenty of well educated people TH-front. That's a definite "free" out of ten.
ANYTHINK/SOMETHINK!!!! Absolute massive pet hate of mine! Each time someone says it, I ask them to spell the word! Funnily they spell it with a "G" on the end!!!
Not fussed about women commentating and I don't care who does it as long as it keeps that bigoted, useless bastard Alan Green off the airways then the Queen could commentate for me, give her an interest now she's semi retired.
I'm just winding you up, mate. I reckon they might spell it wrong too, in fact, I bet most of them do. The English language is a glorious and ever changing thing.
and it all pales into insignificance with the woke BBC pushing there narrative, men wanting to identify as women, how long before we see men who are not good enough for the men's team, but are excellent for the women. I see Joe Biden has just passed this in America at the stoke of a pen, which allows them to compete in women's teams, even if England don't allow it some country's will, like SA Caster Semenya, luckily the Olympic committee were finally allowed to check her our and now she is banned, however the way MSM are pushing the the Gender subject who know where it will end up. If some country's allow this then they will probably always win
So I would like to join the grumpy old gits club. Several pet hates spring to mind, particularly anyone who starts virtually every sentence or answer to a question with So. How about the phrase, "one of the only" for F's sake its one of the few or the only! Almost as bad as "fairly unique". Another that makes me cringe is when people, describing a type of player, say... "like your Peles and your Ronaldos and Zidanes". Please, please, say "players like Pele, Ronaldo and Zidane". Like... my piss is duly boiled now.
Some posters may recall I wrote that in the 18th Century, before dictionaries were published ( they were only one person's idea of what was correct )it was a British right to spell/ write as they wished. Grammar rules are relatively a new thing, some folk on here may remember that time. Atm struggling with a 7 year old and fronted adverbials
