Yeah, maybe. We've put some good balls into the box today, across the face of goal and lobbed in but we don't seem to have the right place, right time type of goal scorer to finish.
Not got a clue how we are playing, I am watching another love of mine....the mighty Bayern. No such problems with scoring, even without LewanGOLski....winning 6-0 away to Hoffenheim
That was another frustrating half of football. Our build up play has been decent with most of our attacks going down the right hand side through Woolf, Bish and Downes. I personally think Bishop should be playing in the #10 position where his dribbling skills can really hurt teams. We've put plenty of decent balls into the box but had nobody on the end of them for the final touch. We need that selfish #9, the 'I'm staying in the box' type as both Sears and Keane like to search for the ball and end up in deep or wide areas so that when we do get a cross in, there's nobody waiting for it. Blackpool look more effective than us when they do have the ball, they drive forward and have players that can carry the ball and play good forward passes but haven't really looked like scoring. If it wasn't for a collection of small mistakes that lead to the goal you would say we had the better of the first period, unfortunately the score is still in Blackpool's favour.
Get in!!!! Sears scores from a Keane cross. Finally somebody in the right place at the right time, just as you thought the chance had gone. We can win this now!
Thats our Freddie! Vital goal, given his 1st start, what a start, so lets go and go again, and win this. And then kick on, and kick-start our woeful season!
We don't switch the play often enough. We just keep trying to penetrate on the same side, be it the right or the left where it gets congested. A quick switch to the other flank would open up the space and create more chances.
Good to see youngsters on the park and playing some too! Encouraging bearing mind all our injuries & yellow cards!.
