Hi, I want to take my Dad to a match for his 73rd birthday, he,s a lifelong born and bred Stoke supporter who hasn't been to a match for years due to him living away from the area and not being able to drive anymore. I was considering taking him to the Man U game as its the next home match after his birthday on the 15th Jan and would really appreciate some advice on the best place to sit for a good view, and because of ill health somewhere he wont get jostled too much especially when Stoke score !!!!
Family Stand, Novus or Boothen?

Just ask the ticket office to locate your dad in the Family Stand is my advice. About Row 17 should do it. I think? it's behind the wall and above the lower tier and disabled allocated places. Great view and should be quiet enough for him. You can also ask for your dad to use one of the larger entry points if there is a problem with walking etc.

Cheers tenterdenkentpotter, but travelling from Yorks, very kind offer. Any pointers on parking would be appreciated as not familiar with the area. Just a suggestion, you might be able to fill any spare seats with Man U supporters? Just kidding mate.:emoticon-0105-wink:
 
You wont be allowed to get tickets in the family stand unless you have a child with you - I've had a similar problem when taking my similarly aged father.

I tend to sit in q-railing when I can go as there is a lot of season ticket holders of an older age there - about row 17 as said before just incase it chucks it down.

I tend to go to games against teams like West Ham etc but wasn't there a policy that if you bought a catagory aa game ticket (ie against Man U or Arsenal etc) you had to buy tickets for another game too?
