It's a nice round figure, probably the first number that came into her head. I haven't given up. A lot of people have though.
Nothing that has been said or done recently (by current owners) suggests that a takeover is anywhere near being done
To use a bookmakers phrase, this whole thing is known as a 'get up' Rick's multiple sources = Peter Varney & Olly Groome. The whole thing is a huge con, driven by one person & his agenda.
The CEO said she "had no plans" to leave. This is a phrase much loved by politicians who are hiding their intentions. "We have no plans to raise VAT" for instance, covers their arse much better than if they say "We will not raise VAT" and then they do. So I wouldn't pay too much attention to Pinocchio's statements.

She also said that the Owner has not informed her of any plans to sell the Club.... on this occasion I believe her
He wouldn't need to. Ultimately she's just a lapdog. He'll do what he wants in the end, just as he always has. KM - "Lookman will not be sold in January"......RD had other ideas.
It was better than that - at one of the two meetings last Saturday she said "If there is a takeover then Roland hasn't told me " (nervous giggle)
The LibDems always appoint total ar5es to lead their party... a habit they picked up from the Liberals .... When a party honours David Steel as their greatest (present time) leader you know they are in serious trouble
