Yeah agreed, he's had the budgets to achieve success but I don't think you can say his time at spurs is a faiure, they were floundering before he got there and three trophies in a season isn't a failure at Man U - which for me is an enigma, you have someone considered the greatest manager of all time in Fergie, who was on the cusp of being fired early doors, didn't achieve instant success there but then went on to dominate the game for 20 years and now they can't give anyone 2 years to get their feet under the desk - Look at Ole now, 19 unbeaten after a horrendous start to having the job full time and people left right and centre saying he couldn't do it but now in the running to finish 3rd in his first full season in charge behind two of the greatest teams in the history of the EPL, give him 2 guaranteed years, back him in the market and he could take Man U back to completing at the top. I'd also love to see Pep at Crystal Palace and Jurgen at Bournemouth with a mediocre budgets and average players. They wil lget the time because they are winning trophies but there are only so many you can win. Case in Point Arsene Wenger at Arsenal - consistent top 4 finishes and was still winning the cups often enough but just couldn't compete in the transfer market after their move to the Emirates and got the boot and what have they achieved since? Everyone wants everything NOW and don't have the patience and foresight to wait and build something. The example I always give to my mates is if you want a beautiful hand crafted cupboard that will last you a) have to pay a bit more and b) have to wait for it to be sculpted from a lump of wood into a cupboard, OR you can go to Ikea and bang one out in a day for cheaper but its gonna fall apart in a few years.
It is when you are charged with challenging for the title. Over his 3 seasons they got worse. Though they finished 2nd they were never in the race for a title. Basically 2 6th place finishes contributed to, with Man U? The season he left was an abomination. P17 W 7 D 5 L 5. If that form had continued, that's a 52 point season. They'd have finished 9th, 10th or 11th. It was only a stellar run when Solksjaer took over that masked a horrific season. Is that a good return having spent £466m? I'm not sure it is to be honest regardless of a few trophies. That's a failure in my eyes. I do agree I'd like to see Pep and Klopp on low budgets. I have a feeling Klopp would still do well, and so would Pep. I'd have more faith in Klopp though to be honest. They would both build something, and given time would get it right. That's another thing Jose doesn't do, build something. He goes in, wrings it dry, spends a load of money, plays pragmatic defensive football which wins, then dicks off. He doesn't normally make it easy for the next guy.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ague-allow-350m-Saudi-Newcastle-takeover.html This gargoyle can **** off. Its great him lecturing folk on the right and wrong in football, I mean its not like he is a proven ****ing scumball taking bungs is it? Or his son? BEIN sports keep rolling out their British guys to pontificate about being virtuous. Someone there needs to chop the PR heads hands off. We've had the sexist Gray/Keys comment, now the bung taking disgraced England manager. None of them should be anywhere near football. I'd suggest if the PL want an actual case to take up with someone, I'd suggest taking up with BEIN why they have sexists and bungers representing their interests abroad.
I'm just passed caring mate... it a not going to happen... taking the piss and the country have deflected the Saudis elsewhere
We are basically the biggest job he ever got and where he got full backing. He mightve had 4 years at West Ham, but they couldn't wait to see the back of him. Several mikey mouse stints since then and his hilarious England manager debacle. Says it all when a useless clown like Moyes can still get a Prem league role ahead of him. Almost as bad as Michael Owen in the way he needs to use us to publicise himself.
