He's been ****ed since the shouting at the physio woman debacle, everything immediately went to **** at Chelsea after that and he's never been the same since. Basically previously he's was arrogant but cool, but once he lost his dignity all that was left was the ****er underneath without the results to back it up. I'm absolutely amazed he got the Spurs job.
Ha, and is this still the ****ing takeover thread? It officially became the "any old ****" thread long ago!
Such a cut throat business football management - I always dreamed of working as a manager but the pressure is ridiculous and I now think I'd only want to be an AssMan - couldn't be arsed with the BS spouted by fans and jurnos. Kane has 8/11 goals for him but apparently his system doesn't suit him? He has a 64% Win rate over nearly 1000 games but isn't a good manager? He won Man U their only trophy since Fergie left with an awful team, the Chelsea 2 team was at the end of an era and weren't the same team he'd had in their glory days. Again though, both of those jobs he had a 58% win rate over both tenancies and managed to win the League and a Cup for Chelsea 2 and 3 trophies in the 2016/17 season for Man U - not quite the 67% as of the first stint at Chelsea but not awful really...then he is sacked within 3/4 month the next season after he's come in and won trophies while trying to implement a system and style... He's had since the end of November, so about five months to work with Spurs currently (3 months written off in there) with a team that looks like it needs a lot of work, even under Poch who assembled it, hence Poch was sacked... He's signed one player in Bergwijn since arriving so needs a proper window to get some of his own players in.
I get what you're saying, but I'm just not convinced at all by him now. I think largely I do think his style struggle badly against the high tempo attacking formulas some managers have. Had a magnificent career of course, but again those stats are good example of why stats are only useful so far. The win percentage is high but a quick look through his career tells you why: 2000 Benfica 2001–2002 União de Leiria 2002–2004 Porto 2004–2007 Chelsea 2008–2010 Inter Milan 2010–2013 Real Madrid 2013–2015 Chelsea 2016–2018 Manchester United 2019– Tottenham Hotspur I reckon most would expect to have a very high win percentage on those budgets, with those teams etc. Don't get me wrong he got those jobs because of his success at Porto and Chelsea. He earnt them. But it doesn't mask that win percentages are somewhat irrelevant without context. I'll be surprised if we see him pull up many trees in club football again. I mean we can dress up all we want and make excuses at Man U and Spurs, he ain't cut the mustard.
Is he done? Or does he just suffer from high expectations and walking into clubs full of world class players and he struggles to manage them....which is basically his job? I'm wondering if he could do a job for us, i'm certain if everything is stripped back there is still a ****ing good coach/manager in there....better than Bruce and Rafa for sure. Maybe we could be an ideal fit for him for him to rebuild the team, the club and the infrastructure around it? I quite like the guy, think he's a bit bonkers at times and he clearly loves Newcastle and has a bit of a soft spot for us with the whole SBR connection etc. I think if he was brought in and given the remit of having us challenging for CL spots within 3 years and given that time to overhaul the squad bit by bit then it could be a good fit for all. He has gone off the rails slightly since that incident with the chelsea doctor like...i think he could be a fans favourite up here though I really do.
There actually is news of note today. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-53276121 Khashoggi murder trial!
Could be months I would imagine who knows. If you watch the video it’s a bit scary like. Interesting that the prince himself is not actually on trial.
Rogue operatives sentenced to death. The Saudi intelligence service responsible. A bit like MI5/ MI6 killing Miguel Delaney in the UK embassy in Doha.
Not a great look to be honest... While the prince isn't on trial there is a lot of people suggesting it was ordered by him... The CIA and some Western governments believe the murder was ordered by Crown Prince Salman - something he denies His fiancee Hatice Cengiz is attending the trial alongside the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial executions, Agnes Callamard, who has directly linked the crown prince to the killing UN special rapporteur Callamard says Khashoggi was "the victim of a deliberate, premeditated execution, an extrajudicial killing for which the state of Saudi Arabia is responsible". If this is key to the F.A.'s decision I think we could be sitting and waiting for months. What happened to that American lad who'd been found accused of fraud? Could we get him back in on the deal?
Not for me. The football is too ****e. I want to be entertained. If we do have all this money, I don't understand why we wouldn't want to win and play good footy. Why have only one or the other? **** that lets have it all, we deserve it
