We don't know if Mike Ashley still owns the club. Evidence to suggest that he doesn't or may be about to disappear... 1. Ticket refunds. Ashley owned companies are well known for refusing refunds and offering credit vouchers... 2. The change in position occurred last week. The club is now asking fans for input and views. Something they have not done previoysly under Ashley. 3. Senior officials have been attending games for other clubs. No Lee Charnley, Justin Barnes or Mike Ashley at our two home games.
Let me debunk your 3 which I mean no offence at all matey so please accept it in the eyes of gesture. 1.) he really had no choice. All 19 other prem teams had already addressed the problem. 2.) this sends alarm bells for me. Failed takeover means wtf do we do Penfold? How do we crawl back without them ripping us to shreds. Penfold answer “lets give them what they want. A say. Which by the way means **** all because it’s just noise”. 3.) they dare not show for the fact that people would think It had relevance. Or the fact that they don’t give a **** about the club.
We know what Ashley is like. Thick skinned. Threat of legal action may have had something to do with ticket refunds of course. Charnley. Nothing has been heard from him in months.
The fact remains that there really isn’t any credible evidence whatsoever that it’s grinding to a conclusion. Nor is there any evidence that it’s actually being discussed or even pondered. The PL have literally just said passive responses which don’t implicate them in any way. So basically at this moment in time I think it’s all just a load of bollocks. MA could very well be sitting at home in Miami or wherever he is and thinking he can do whatever he wants with this. Silence of the lambs! We are the ****ing lambs!
I think people are holding on now... I'm still hopeful, but we were told a decision was likley this week. this week we've seen Ashley like changes at the club.
It’s the first thing that came to my mind. When your trying to weather a **** storm the best way to do it is to make people believe they have a choice/say. Why would this happen at this stage in Ashley’s reign over 13 years. He’s not listened once so why would he even consider it now. I know why! It’s the only option he has!
