    This was my concern you see .. if the Mauriss bid is genuine then it would make sense to assume the Saudi bid was blocked and Ashley chose to stay silent and start selling to the next bidder..

    that's all I've been saying really


    I am however not convinced this mauriss bid can be real .. he's just a regular guy.

    You may even be right. There was some big deal done today which freed up a lot of PIF cash. I mean, is it conceivable the approval was done weeks ago and we've all been sat here waiting for PIF to put £300m in a bank account? I've had dealings with the Middle East - they are NOT prompt payers.

    Without the transfer, terms of NDA apply, so neither PIF not MA can say anything. PL won't (see, I do listen). Everything else is just noise.

    There are contradictory comments, of course, but could that be a smokescreen - would a 'source' say "yeah, we haven't sent the money yet" - it's the kind of face-saving the Saudi's do.
