FWIW I still think the PL are trying to fail it. I think this report was never going to support an approval but seems to have done very little to help them secure a rejection. So with that in mind I think we'll be waiting considerably longer, because the PL (or more pertinently, the big 6 clubs) do not want this through. I did say that there would be nothing immediately following this reports release.
However, they now imho cannot. The only issue was the piracy. They passs every aspect of the test. Just need the Richard Masters' balls to drop
The only VISIBLE issue was/is piracy. It's the hidden agendas that have always been the problem. Masters has, presumably, a bunch of heavy hitters from the league frowning at him, on the other hand he's got Saudi Arabia scowling. He doesn't strike me as a particularly competent man - he looks and sounds like a ****ing politician.
As I have said for weeks - The WTO report was a red herring. Access to justice for Qatar and a failure to bring criminal prosecutions. The Saudi legal system is not in accordance with WTO rules. No mention of PIF and makes no difference whatsoever.
The UK simply cannot afford to insult Saudi Arabia. There's too much business between the two countries at risk. Money talks.
So I have meetings all ****ing day on today of all days but I sneaked a peak. So basically no links to PIF but naughty KSA for being stubborn bastards. Slap on wrist. PL now have no reason to block deal on the WTO report. The test should therefore be passed. The PL don’t need to worry about other external factors as PIF are not involved. Am I right here? Sorry I just don’t have time to look much more till about 6pm.
I think it is going to pass but he is making it look as if they are doing a thorough job of investigating things.
it's looking good at least. I'm now very much on the it's happening side again. Christ knows how long this will go on, but I feel like they've fired the primary weapons and missed.
