It seems even the hard-core positivity crew are realising now..

like I said months ago... if it fails... you'll hear nothing until it's already been accepted and just gone away..

they handled the BZG one in that way for a reason .. ie it's the best way to do it

    Ashley and penfold are back

they know once the season starts again people just move on from this to such a degree that they can at some point confirm what everyone already knows.. ie I'm staying

I think it's knowing what might have been now regardless of who is the owner . This was too good to be true and itv
would appear those that held doubts were being wise to that fact..

This is North East England and nothing absolutely nothing that has the potential to see the spotlight be on here will be allowed unless it's to laugh at us on a Saturday at 3pm.

Same. I also want no part of a corrupt body like the PL. If they fail this one they are showing their hand.

Football by its nature should just be enjoyable. This takeover politics is an indication of how far it has fallen. The contradictions are glaring - Saudi is one of 230 countries who have piracy issues, but the PIF doesn't have anything to do it and subsequently the piracy has nothing to do with this test. As has been spoken of many times, the So'ton owners had far bigger problems, yet got through at the second time of asking - they manage to do two tests in four months.

The owners of Man City have been found guilty of contravening FFP rules - not once peep from the Premier League or anyone else about holding Mansour accountable. That's not taking into account terrorism in Qatar, links to Iran, etc., but it's apparently of no interest to the Premier League - yet they are considering all the moaning about MBS when it comes to Newcastle?

It seems clear to me that we are subject to a different agenda. The likes of piracy, human rights, only seem to apply to the takeover of Newcastle. Man City, it would seem, is a lesson to be learned but not a mistake to be corrected. The mass hypocrisy has been hugely damaging to my own opinion of the football and where the Premier League stands on everything.

Project Restart alone is a disgrace. We were bad in the UK at dealing with this virus. But when money talks, people like the PL listen and all other reasoning disappears - Project Restart was purely an attempt to limit the damage of Sky/BT seeking refunds, yet they hid this behind words like "integrity", as if there people even have a shred of it themselves.

I was looking forward to a new era. It's not my job to look into the politics of KSA vs Qatar. It's my job to look to Staveley as a saviour and enjoy some huge investment in the club, for it to be our turn to be on the rise, to welcome ambition back to SJP instead of a one man exec team on the lowest salary of the top three divisions.

But the lines have been deliberately blurred in an attempt to block NUFC from success and it does not sit well with me. This particular takeover looks destined to fail - whether there's any substance to the rumoured 2 US bids waiting in the wings remains to be seen, but I somehow doubt anything will happen there either. Even if this or another does pass, the shine has been taken off it entirely and I'm on the cusp of jacking the whole thing. I don't like any of it. I don't like the vapid nonsense peddled by Sky, the double standards of discussing the demerits of PIF whilst simultaneously lauding over Chelsea's rebuild, which is forever tainted by the blood of thousands of dead Russians. It's maddening but an indication of what they want.

The hilarious irony is this - whatever happens with the NUFC takeover, the likes of Man City, Chelsea and others will inevitably break away one day and leave the PL with **** all. When that happens, though, it'll likely be a passing glimpse at a headline for me and thousands of others who have all but given up on football ever being the thing that made it great.

The UK has significant piracy issues. Illegal streaming takes place frequently. I don't see the PL taking action against owners of satellites elsewhere in the world.

It's a misnoma. PIF are not connected to piracy. It's the fact they provide direct competition to BEin. The Qatari's are notorious for bribery. You just have to look at BEins owner and the World Cup bid. You can bet they have tried to bribe PL executives.

You think the NE has had a bad time over the years. Try being Liverpool!

this is the PL decision, nothing the government can do.

it’s a shame if it falls through.
