I find it odd that you release a pre-emptive statement of checking all evidence, which is what we would fully expect you to do, and then fail it right afterwards. I would expect a statement like that to be before a pass, as it gives the opportunity to say you definitely checked all the evidence and came to a pass anyway. This is even more so because the takeover is going to be so controversial.
