Takeover (Covid-19/20)

My firestick keeps randomly turning the volume down. Becoming unwatchable.
Any ideas?

 

Do you have a dog sat on the remote? Usually a swift shove often solves that issue for me

 

If it stops after 60mins of watching check where it was made
If it says made in Sunderland
then it's definitely knackered and unwatchable

 

No ****, I think one of the other three people in the house are ****ing with me.
They say they're not.

Have you got this sorted? You only have a couple hours till showtime........try new batteries.

 

I've plugged it directly into the TV which solves the problem.
Thing is I have to put up with **** TV sound instead of really nice 5.1 sound I was getting through my onkyo.
Gonna try another firestick in the onkyo just to see if it's the stick or the onkyo.

 

I thought it may have been the batteries going flat in the remote.

 

I've set the firestick remote up not to control the volume on the onkyo.
Got a harmony 650 that controls the onkyo.
It's not the harmony doing it as I've viewed the ir transmitter through my phone camera then the volume is going down and there's nothing coming from the remote.

 

......On the plus side you wont need to listen to Michael Owen in the studio
