Who are you trying kid Nev? When you were at school the main lessons ware cave painting and mammoth hunting.
If it is only 4m over 10 years then it’s a no for me. If it’s 40m a year then I would seriously consider it. If it’s St James park sponsored by xyz for 40m a year then ok.
Moshiri gives, sorry, sponsors Goodison for about £20m a year. We should be looking at minimum £25m a year for a bigger, newer, better stadium with infinitely better fans.
He sponsors the training ground/academy/womens team/junior teams with that money mate. It's not just Goodison.
I think he gave an up front 50m aswell. If we could get an up front £40m and then £10m a year I would consider it.
What? They taught you about Maggie having a few coffees in the morning. Firstly, I would have thought you older than that and, secondly, what other dosser topics did your school teach you eg how to throw a traffic cone?
This is where it will end up. The Aramco Arena @ SJP. That way we keep SJP and our owners get a marketing vehicle so a win/win. The Askley proposal was a Win Big / Lose Big. Plus he was a kernt.
This would be fine by me, St.James' Park, is the area of Newcastle and the arena is sited on St. James' Park it's not sited on an old disused pit heap where people can name it what they want as an example like the Makems trying to tart up the Shepfolds area and naming their ground the Stadium of ****e
Agreed. We have to be realistic in that we need the commercial income if we want better players. We can’t just knock the idea because we like our iconic SJP. Provided they do it right and it’s still called SJP then the sponsorship (if a commercial powerhouse) will attract more investment and revenues. Im all for this.
Has anyone noticed how quiet the media are on us now. Even after us spending £90m. Not a sausage. Complete and utter silence.
