Man City abstained from today's vote telling the other PL clubs that their legal advice was to abstain as it was unlawful.
Consortium need someone really savvy in running things asap. Does David Dein still work in football? He'd be mint.
They don't train anyway. Even if they 'need' rest days, why the **** aren't they in analyzing tactics, the opposition etc. This is a ****ing disgrace. This **** MUST be sacked TODAY.
This block on related party or already related business transactions for sponsorship is definitely legally wrong. They cannot block commercial sponsorship deals which rank amongst bona fide transactions and similar to current existing commercial deals already present for other football clubs. I can understand it reinstates the already present rules on overstated commercial deals. That’s fine. The story proves though that the PL clubs want us where we are. Remember the PL can do absolutely nothing to stop investment in infrastructure. We are the worlds most hated team right now.
The below is from 19/20 and is in dollars. But look at the gulf between the top six and the rest. And they are trying to block our commercial income. It beggars belief.
PL surely have had legal advice too? Either way it’s restraint of trade and City and our legal team will push this all the way. It smacks of a tantrum. PL have FFP in place so if the rule is fit for purpose let it get to work. it’s a bit like the Mackem board where you get banned for NOT posting just in case you ever decided to wind up the orcs.
The more noise the other clubs make on this type of stuff including the human rights crap and it might cause us a problem in: Attracting a good DoF Attracting a good manager Attracting commercial revenue Attracting players It’s all conveniently designed to stop the progress and will continue till we are relegated. They just don’t want us anywhere near them.
The attempted sponsorship blockade will possibly just stir our new owners up, like kicking at a hornets nest.
The stench of fear in the PL is strong right now but i’m certain this is all just noise as a precursor to the Euro breakaway league.
