Hopefully someone can correct but is the PIF not an investment group, setup to bring in additional funds to the Saudi state so in the future it doesnt have to rely on oil? A football club isnt exactly an investment esp if we are going to be spending as much money as everyone seems to think.

They also use PIF to promote their vision 2030. Oh and the brand new city NEOM they are carving out of the desert.
