Finally had a day off work so I’ve spent in doing more research on the takeover etc. Did not know that Saudi Arabia are reportedly in the process of launching a new national airline to compete with Emirates, Etihad and Qatar in the region, PIF are expected to be behind the funding for it too. I wonder if they’ll end up being our principal sponsor? Easy way to get it out to the world when it’s launched

And what’s the odds of Newcastle airport being a hub for it with direct flights to Saudi etc? We’re gonna be ****ing rolling in it from a commercial aspect!

Out of interest, why would you think that 35m Saudis will suddenly be supporting Newcastle?

Not trying to wum, I’d imagine most will already support a team although ok some may change. But also a lot of Saudis hate their government for their human rights issues, so why would they then support a club that is owned by that government?
