Think it’s just a case of the excitements gone a little bit. Got to the point where I’m not checking the football news as soon as I get up. If it happens, great. If it doesn’t, ah well. Even though they’ll deny it I even think the ones who are adamant it’s done are a bit suprised nothing else has progressed a bit by now. (Considering most of this board we’re giving dates for last week/this week for when it to be done) what’s it going to be like when it gets to may 20th, still “be patient”
I would be doing anything and everything if I was her , so she gets a pass on this from me so day long. There's plenty being insincere about their real issues, but not her no chance
I think every day has the potential for news. It's just madness to sit and hope it will appear. You've taken the right approach, there's no point in setting our deadlines 'cos we know nothing.
Have to be honest , I don't know . All I think is that when it comes to cold hard cash , the powers that be have never really been that interested . Hope none of you mind my input , F1 is Far and away my first love in sport ( Though I ma a Fan of Saints ) , but Saying no to Saudi's money ? Never going to happen IMHO .
100%. If there was the slightest inkling this might be a problem, they'd just fudge it anyway, set up a holding company and appoint someone else. Al Rumayyan isn't failing a directors test anytime soon (none of it has anything to do with MBS). I think where it's a bit of a challenge is in that it's split ownership and the PIF have nominated someone, rather than being an individual (which is what they usually deal with). Let's also not pretend for one second that the PL are a competent organisation, either.
do we know this ? straight question: I am not sure what we actually know (eg, the charge filed with Companies House) as opposed to often repeated but unconfirmed rumour (eg, a proposal has been submitted to the PL who are undertaking a fit and proper purpose review)
Here's another way of looking at it. If any of the directors had failed the fit and proper tests, or if the premier league were going to throw it out....would we have heard about it before now? I can see and understand why nothing would be publicised and announced once it was all rubber-stamped as the NDA's etc will cover all of that off but I feel pretty certain that if it was going to be rejected for whatever reason we would know about it. Just a thought.
