Mike is not one for holding back. He always goes on the attack. It’s the only time he speaks publicly in the main. Remember when he went public on Nike and Adidas cornering the market. Or when he went after the PL over the pay per view policy.
I have been dropping doubts all week. Because of the lack of information linked to the CAT case being published. Also with the ARB decision not being made public. Like I said @Roy Munson I’ve flopped for a reason.
O h no. You have turned into one of them blind faith believers. I hoped you wouldn’t succumb! Im here if you need me my friend. Do take care.
It’s happened with all “the professions” and you would have thought that would never have happened. I can see an independent regulator being introduced by the Government. Why? Because it will win Boris some votes and popularity.
In the club statement the wording is quite neat, The Club has nothing to hide with respect to the arbitration and invites the EPL to agree that it should no longer be held behind closed doors. If the EPL has acted lawfully and properly, it should have no reason to be afraid of the public spotlight. To me the "no longer" is the hint to fans that Arbitration has started, and It is currently attempting to prevent the competition courts considering a claim by the Club’s sellers from taking place in public, arguing that too should be held in confidential arbitration. It is currently attempting suggests the CAT is still under consideration of the judge, to see if it should be thrown out or not, this is just my interpritation of the wording and may be miles wide of the mark
Well I've been arguing until I was blue in the face about something I was completely wrong about, so I accept responsibility for my error and I'm going to keep pressing fwd with a strong will, strength, faith, high spirits and sagacity.
The statement does have a slightly desperate tone to it imo and based on that I agree with you. Last throw of the dice.
I think it is a pressure move because it looks weird and there hiding something in court if they say no
I think it’s right for people to keep the faith mate. I’ve said before and I will say it again I’m a negative person. I’ve had a pretty negative nothing positive in life happens so I will always view things this way. The fact that ARB is still on the table and CAT has not been dropped give us some form of optimism.
[ I've come this far my old friend and there's no turning back now. I have to stick to my belief the takeover will go through before the court proceedings ever take place. I will be fed to the lions if I'm wrong, so I choose to keep pressing fwd
That i s correct. The CAT case has not been thrown out. But it’s not even the point we need to question. The CAT case was to increase pressure on the ARB case. As the PL are not buckling ok the ARB case with the risk of CAT. That makes me conclude that the PL are taking this all the way. MA has also thrown in a negative curveball in the public eye. He’s chucked the “look at me I’m being treated unfair” card but it comes across as desperate. I feel the PL are not going to roll over and let this happen.
It would be nice if that was the case but the ARB is behind closed doors. The CAT isn’t. It’s weird that there is no update on the CAT case. Honestly it is. ARB is only going to win for us if the PL where worried about the CAT case. It looks like they are not!
I don’t. I think they are playing their hand mate. They are not delaying. They are sticking to their guns. And I think think believe that the CAT case is the key. They believe they can get the CAT case thrown out. We think the ARB will be decided before the CAT. I think the PL have made sure the ARB is suspended until the CAT case is sorted. A slight different approach. They can delay the ARB.
I think it's a case of NUFC saying to the PL - "we know you are corrupt. Prove to the public that you aren't."
Didn't MA tell the PL he wanted it done by 1st July? What's today? You guessed correct. The PL are stalling and this is a pressure tactic.
Exactly. The PL are trying to delay the case and damaging the club. What was that about acting in good faith?
