well I've been missing in action (under cover) over the last 24 hours but I'm back now to report Nothing. The barriers are still up and everything in Lock down, no activity whatsoever (taken at 12.30) However, I did manage to interrogate someone who gave this information no comment I'm working on him
So to summarise so far: - Some more Saudis have followed NUFC on Twitter. - Erm. Cans? - HDQ is interrogating a homeless person. - ACS is part of the Twitterati.
The PL tests can't be complete. If they were, the deal itself would be complete and the NDA would be null & void, therefore anyone even remotely linked to the deal - solicitors, accountants, cousins, homeless people - would have some info. Even if ratified today, as it's both Ramadan and the Saudi weekend, no news will appear until at least Monday. News won't appear on Monday either, because.....well, it just won't. Honestly, I don't know what the **** is going on with this one.
I don't even have a clue as to how the announcement would be made - would it be given as an exclusive to a media broadcaster, such as Sky or Al Jazeera? Would it be an email release simultaneously for papers to then report? Would it be done via the PIF news/Twitter feed, which would be odd, but possible? Press conference or unveiling simply isn't possible yet - could they even delay and delay this until lockdown is lifted? Are we all waiting pointlessly because we're still months from any announcement?
Tell you what's interesting about Twitter - it's pretty obvious that Steve Bruce doesn't have a clue what's going on. So quite how some groundsman or cleaner from SJP has the inside scoop is beyond comprehension. That's why I think our media has had such a torrid time under Ashley. Charnley refuses to speak, is utterly un-contactable yet only he and the untouchable Ashley ever know what the **** is going on.
I reckon that they have done their homework on the Toon and the Geordie Nation, and will announce the take over when the bars are back open so we can celebrate in style
They need to get it over with. Just a "takeover complete, we'll be setting out our vision for the future of NUFC in the coming weeks and months." It's agonising. It doesn't make much sense if Ashley was ready to say something nearly 2 weeks ago why they'd hold off. This is a Western club and Western culture. Some more **** now from Luke Edwards and Martin Hardy with possible issues with the price? I'm ****ing sick of it, going to take a break from NUFC for a while, it's just doing my ****ing head in. Typical ****ing circus under Ashley, nothing ever straightforward and I still have this uneasy feeling that somehow that fat sack of **** will screw this up an'all. See you's all on the flipside!
