I have to say this again, but there's no chance or need for anybody to go to st james park to announce the deal to the media.
He was at a training camp in Spain for several weeks for pre-season training with Dalian. He went back to China a couple of weeks ago when they started lifting lock down there. However he was spotted in Hong Kong a few days ago, rumours of him getting a flight out.
stfu man, HDAQ loves the exercise. I'm thinking of other **** I can send him out for now.....you're gonna ruin it !!
I think I disagree, mate. If I was working PR for the takeover, I'd include the ground as part of any media announcement. That's not to say it's necessary - in all likelihood it'll be a press statement, jointly, between Ashley and Staveley. Ashley will then decline to comment, and subsequent interviews will be bought by the media.
Anyways....haven't you got a painting disaster to sort out? You haven't got time to be on here. Can we have a picture by the way.....just for ****s and giggles?
Under normal circumstances perhaps, but given we're in the middle of lockdown I expect statements only.
The Saudi's will base their ownership of Newcastle in London, right next to the Saudi Embassy, and their HQ within the country. I see no reason for a Saudi to complete contracts within Newcastle, nor Ashley who is famously a Londoner. The media hype around BeIN trying to block the deal has pretty much died down so I have no doubts that this takeover is finishing and soon to be tidied up. We just need to wait, we have literally no reason to rush through this.
I think Qatar is gaining a significant amount of power in the media and that is a worrying thing, the only takeaway I had from their fake outrage was; "jesus, these Qatari fellas sure do own a lot of media companies." Al Jazeera, BeIN, Miramax the Qatari are really pushing themselves into the media world. Al Jazeera by reach is second to the BBC in it's global reach.
