No-one knows how "strong" their case is. Thry are likely confident, but that is standard.

Based on information in the public domain, NUFC can demonstrate:

1. Influence.
2. Unfairness
3. Separation.

The takeover was agreed and a formality until circa early June 2020. Garry Hoffman, with links to BEin, was appointed. BEin then started lobbying the PL and the big six. Hatice Cengiz lobbied the PL. The big sixreportedly started issuing threats to the PL.

If Staveley is correct - the PL sat on the decision hoping that PIF would walk away.

There will be evidence. NUFC would not be taking the case forward on two fronts if it wasn't strong. Three top QC's would not be putting their reputations on the line if it was weak.

 

I understand that, but the enemy has a strong legal argument too obviously.

It will not go our way because it never does.

No... I keep seeing this referred to, I am 100% certain that they are talking about THAT particular judgment of that particular court - the one where NUFC wanted the chair of the Arbitration panel replaced, the judgment said that although he had not declared previous work for the PL, he was still a fit person to chair the arbitration.... that judgment explored the complaint and found against NUFC, and the PL said “great, and can we keep your exploration and the complaint to just ourselves please?” And the court said no, we’re publishing this decision. It was not about publication of the eventual arbitration decision. I’m certain of this.

 

Yeah I mean wishing for takeovers and asking for hope.
