**** you all
It can happen if all the richest and most powerful clubs, with the financial support of JP Morgan, Coca-Cola and Budweiser, wish it.
The question is whether everyone else on the outside of Fort Knox has the resolve to simply padlock the door and move on.
I think they will backtrack just like last time once they realise they have misread the reaction. There was supposed to be an announcement at 21.30 but that has been and gone in deafening silence. However, if they do stick their heads above the parapet I think they might be surprised at the resolve tp go on without them and isolate them. Some global fans will still follow it, and maybe some domestic fans too, but if the rest of the footballing world holds it's nerve then football wil survive without them - though there will be casualties along the way.
Who is jp Morgan and what’s the control!?
A bunch of greedy ****s who I think were also caught up in the 2008 financial crisis and got bailed out while everyone else picked up the bill
Investment Bankers. Think based in USA but international.
hats their connection with a premier league team? Liverpool?
The biggest bank in the world, I believe. Supposed to be backing and financing the ESL.
They've done it!
Kick all six out with immediate effect. Not just the PL but out of the FA and football league.
For me this is as bad as the match fixing allegations that we saw in Italy, with clubs demoted down the leagues (some down several leagues). It is an attack on the fabric and ethos of the game.
I would say just for signing the letter they should immediately expunge all of their results for this season and stick them all in Division Two next season. Let them learn what it means to earn a place in a league. No quick bouncing back and having to fight each other to get back quicker. But don't throw the fans under the bus yet and give them the chance of an eventual return. I know this would promote the unwashed to the championship and I don't care. This is far bigger than any rivalry. Demotion would also do the opposite of what they wanted to achieve by pumping some extra cash into the lower leagues for a few seasons and spreading the wealth instead of hoarding it.
If they ever actually start the league then kick them out for good.
Kick them out now.
We're in 9th position
Up yours Rafa!
My issue with that is what about the club's in League 2 who were thinking that next season they could get promoted?
Personally think they should have a 30 point deduction then every season they are in this super League they start on -30.
I think they should be banned from European competition for next season for proposing to do this and only kicked out of the league if they go ahead.
After all we don't want to make it too easy for Sunderland to get promoted.
Those clubs would probably be among the 6 promoted this season!
They would probably all cope with a 30 point deduction in any league and still thrive/survive
Maybe I am over reacting based on how angry I feel about this, but to me that punishment is too light for the crime they committed and doesn't act as a very strong deterrent for the future.
Ok what about teams like Fleetwood? Wouldn't be promoted yet surely are wanting progression and next season be aiming for a play off place?
If it's being kicked out then they have to start in division never
It’s all American. The idea, the money - MLS is still dogshit, the US will never get behind it and the vast majority of fans have been alienated by it.
A handful of TikTok generation snowflakes aren’t going to prop this up, viewing figures will be poor, they’ve doomed themselves and top level football. It will never cease to amaze me - and this coming from someone who’s suffered Ashley for a decade - how utterly stupid and ignorant some very rich people are.
