So according to reports. The takeover was going to be approved 2 months AFTER PIF had walked away from the table in September. But there was a last minute change of mind by the PL.
They have to be being black mailed by someone?
Could be. Or has he been made to by the PL?
Where is this news?
Just appears to have resigned as Chairman, nothing else.
They're going down like so I don't see this as being related to any potential agreements
No longer a listed director
the thing is.. they won’t be in the PL next year anyhow so it’s not important. Saudis don’t like to lose face so it might be that the boss has spoken here.
It’s possible as SU are and will be a PL club until the end of the season that the takeover is imminent hence the haste.
a chairman would normally wait until the off season surely for changes in the boardroom?
But he’s not the owner. That’s Prince Abdullah.
So we have:
objectors turning up the volume
NDM on the brown Ale
The emails leaked making the PL look bad
Boris confirmed as wanting the deal to happen
Chairman of SU resigning
club shop closed as new owners coming in.
amnesty international asking for the future O and D tests to take into account human rights (inference being this one can’t sadly be influenced)
Noises from a few quarters that a deal may be brokered without arbitration
I think the only variable left is what brand of #cans.
but would the PL be happy with two government linked Saudis in the top jobs of two current PL clubs?
gotta be conflict of interests.
Or this tack.....
You can add us actually winning a game last week. That’s the clearest indication.
Seriously though if we win today then I’m confident we are safe and the Twitter rumours will go to apocalyptic levels.
I’m actually headed to Asda now to get some beers for the match and I’ve told wor misses that she has to watch something else in the other room. I mean there’s two big events happening today and I know which one I’m watching.
Wouldn't call wolves v Sheffield United a big event
It could be for SU. It could ahem.:.. (is it to early) put the final nail in the coffin.
This is now the third time we’ve had all this and we’re still owner by Ashley.
