Here's the problem I was talking about in terms of buyers looking for clubs in the championship. We go down and he stays its really quite simple.... Nobody will pay what Ashley wants and whether fans are taking comfort in this notion that 'he wants out' or not I don't know, but they need to forget it because it's not going to happen.
Confirmation that the Saudis are not interested in buying us as a Championship club under any circumstances. It all hinges on staying up.
It's so obviously dead and has been for over 6 months. Funny that this has "come out" about 3 days after Staveley lost her case. The most depressing thing, by a mile, is the fact Ashley still isn't going to reduce his asking price whether that's in the PL or being relegated. What does this mean? Well, it means relegation just got a lot more likely because the dopey ****wits in charge have left it too late on Bruce. Worse still, Bruce will still be here in the Championship season - but who else are we going to entice, being relegated with Ashley and Charnley "in charge"? The beginning of the end. Be an amusing watch, that's for sure.
So I was right when I said the Everton Fulham game was the most important game in our history then. If they had lost that. We would be ok.
LOL! No! This has been dead for 8 months. All this bullshit about it being "on the table" was either from BeIN Jacobs or mates of Amanda "honest guv" Staveley. We've now got Ashley thinking he can get £310m or whatever for this club. Looks like we're stuck with the bastard, which means I'm out for the forseeable.
Nothing has changed Stay up and it will probably go through. Ffs obviously it's on hold... They'll wait to see where the club is in two months and discuss a price
I said it months ago that unless they're safe it can't happen. They won't just cough up 300 million when they can just wait 2 or 3 months to check they aren't throwing half of it away before they can even do any work. At the same time Ashley won't say go on then give me 150 million now when the club might stay up and he'll be be throwing 150 million away when he could've waited 2 or 3 months.
And so our destiny lies in the hands of Steve Bruce and our injury depleted/ravaged survivors. Im predicting that Joelinton scores the winning goal against Fulham that keeps us up.
Ok, so what is your stance when we stay up and mysteriously AREN'T then sold? Also, what would your stance be if we went down and there was no offer for the club either?
In my mind it is off now. certainly until the end of the season so I'm more worried about NUFC and Fulham results atm and more interestingly who will be our next suitor who want's to jump on the takeover band wagon. I'm hoping for something exotic like Duarte from the Phillipines using all those confiscated funds of murdered drug dealers to purchase us. That or Elon Musk realises he's wasting Billions on Bitcoin and going to the moon and decides to take on a football team instead.
I think DaGrossa wants the club cheap. I think Kenyon's waiting to see as well. I'd imagine there's other US consortiums, and some from Asia. Middle East is just a load of conmen and one or two royals. Prince whatever at Sheff U is hardly setting the world alight. Mansour was a one off, will never happen again. It's getting so saturated it's becoming difficult for new money to come in.
I think we're more than down, mate. I think we're buried. Ashley's years of promise finally coming to fruition. Everybody will FINALLY see it laid bare - how this club has been rinsed so badly for so long that relegation and stagnation in the lower leagues was utterly inevitable. Christ, this year's been bad, wait til next year. Mid-table or lower in the Champ is going to be mortifyingly bad.
