Is there any facts to back any of this up? On one hand your responding to sheiks comment about the arbitration happening and in this comment your claiming it hasn’t?

Also if it hasn’t started or indeed it doesn’t need to then NDM is not required?

Yep that's the face saving bit.
Step backwards but not away... and push Ashely front and centre to take out the obstacle.
I understand Arabs mate and saving face is right up there in importance for them.

Is that list a list of completed cases, pending or a mixture?

    Just a hopeful thought

Proceedings started and there's preamble before it does (like a threat) .. then there's the actual proceedings.
I think Nick sent a threatening letter and they have shat their pants. Remember he went home a lot earlier than he expected...

A statement from the group read: “An investment group led by majority investor the Public Investment Fund; PCP Capital Partners; and RB Sports & Media, announced today that it has formally withdrawn its interest in pursuing the acquisition of Newcastle United Limited and Newcastle United Football Club Limited.” PCP Capital and RB Sports & Media had been set to take a 10 per cent stake each in the deal, which is understood to have valued the club at just over £300million.

The statement added: “With a deep appreciation for the Newcastle community and the significance of its football club, we have come to the decision to withdraw our interest in acquiring Newcastle United Football Club.

“We do so with regret, as we were excited and fully committed to invest in the great city of Newcastle and believe we could have returned the club to the position of its history, tradition and fans’ merit.” “Unfortunately, the prolonged process under the current circumstances coupled with global uncertainty has rendered the potential investment no longer commercially viable,” the statement continued.

“To that end, we feel a responsibility to the fans to explain the lack of alternatives from an investment perspective.

“As an autonomous and purely commercial investor, our focus was on building long-term value for the club, its fans and the community as we remained committed to collaboration, practicality and pro-activity through a difficult period of global uncertainty and significant challenges for the fans and the club.

“Ultimately, during the unforeseeably prolonged process, the commercial agreement between the investment group and the club’s owners expired and our investment thesis could not be sustained, particularly with no clarity as to the circumstances under which the next season will start and the new norms that will arise for matches, training and other activities.” The statement continued: “As often occurs with proposed investments in uncertain periods, time itself became an enemy of the transaction, particularly during this difficult phase marked by the many real challenges facing us all from Covid-19.

“We feel great compassion for the Newcastle United fans with whom we shared a great commitment to help Newcastle United harness its tremendous potential and build upon its impressive and historic legacy while working closely with the local community.

“We would like to say that we truly appreciated your incredible expressions of support and your patience throughout this process. We are sorry it is not to be.

“We wish the team and everyone associated with it much good luck and success.”

All of this sounds like it’s in the past tense. That they where moving on.

@Roland Deschain @captain wrong @Albert's Chip Shop @Sheikh_of_Araby @Darren Peacock's Ponytail Can you all confirm you see this is writing that they “withdrew” that they “didn’t see it as commercials viable”.

Im struggling to believe they would make that statement to save face and then promise MA to still buy the club for the same price if he could remove the obstacles?

Says who and where? There has never been any official statements to say they are back: that’s all just hearsay.

    This is the crux.

The facts - and in fact many of the non-factual indicators - all point to PIF being uninterested due to Covid at this time and walking away. My guys in the Middle East say they aren't even in the game anymore, when I heard from the same contacts back in Jan 2020 that PIF were "buying my club", their exact words.

As per the link I shared on Burnley, there's NO reason they can't say they're still trying to takeover the club. There's even less reason for Ashley/Charnley to say this. Neither do, neither will. Ben Jacobs even said Al Rumayyan might well talk about NUFC at a summit on Weds - guess what? He didn't. As usual.

Too many people are looking for clues that aren't there. The facts state there's no buyer. There's no-one saying they're buying, no-one saying they're selling, and all we have from the one group who seemed serious is a headed letter saying "no thanks". That's the facts.

Everything else is supposition and nobody knows anything other than what they choose to believe. My take on it is:

    - Arbitration is almost always about reduction of punishment or compensation for loss. Mike lost money, fees and such, on this deal and is blaming the PL to seek recompense. That it's NUFC is of no consequence, as he's the owner in its' entirety it's exactly the same as him suing for damages.
    - It has always suited Mike to have a willing body shield. The fans making the PL the scapegoat no doubt caused him much amusement, people no longer blaming him for our utter stagnation. He's a mate of Bruce, 'cos the fat moron is happy to take a pummelling for Ashley every game, Charnley has decided to shut off all outside communication and everyone contracted to the club has severe gross misconduct in their contract if they dare speak up. It's basically a Nazi regime, only it was easier to defeat the Nazi's.
    - Nick's there because he wins. Fatima because she has data that supports his case. Neither are able to sell a club to a buyer that doesn't exist.
    - The paragraph on arbitration has disappeared. Nick has also stopped putting out his (almost) daily geordie bait.
    - Ashley/Barnes will have instructed Nick and I would imagine said they "hoped" the arbitration would clear the path for a takeover. They are known and proven liars, who clearly get a kick out of ****ing off Newcastle fans (look no further than Bruce). They'll have loved all his little tweets knowing full well there's no buyer.
    - The amount Mike wants for the club is far too much. Facilities are poor, PL status not assured, squad isn't great and there's no decent structure or scouting/youth set-up. At best, it's worth £250m but right now nearer £220m (Kieran Maguire). That includes the debt which I have repeatedly said should not be included in a sale price, but structured after sale - something Ashley won't do.
    - Dates and deadlines repeatedly come and go without even an inkling of progress. It's embarrassing that we're linking Qatari embassy openings with the takeover! Bein was a possible blocker, but the main issue was the Euroleague and Big Picture talks, which NUFC would have demanded to be part of. Even when it's clear all three of these issues have gone, or are going, away there's still not even a sniff that the club will be bought.
    - Finally, from someone very reliable with links to the club, I have been told that a takeover is not on the horizon and whilst it's inevitable it'll be sold one day, it won't be soon and almost certainly won't ever be to PIF.

You'll never know - it'll be settled under NDA out of court. The fact we're not owned by AS tells you how well she did.

Even the thread title is now wrong. It should at least be factually right and have 21 in it.
