It's not about Ashley is about the buyer.. They won't go ahead until we're safe and they won't pay by extra either.. It's quite simple Ashley has to chance it and if we go down it over.
Would you buy a club 7 points clear with the club in 17th having 2 games in hand and nufcs next games being Arsenal Everton Palace Southampton Chelsea Man united Not a ****ing chance We're ****ed as far as a takeover is concerned until summer and that's IF we scrape 40 points
I’ve been saying this for ****ing months and yet here we are with ****ing Bruce. A **** show of a takeover which is driven by a barrister who posts black and white pictures of ****ing Brighton. Ffs we are proper ****ed:
It's driven by an owner that's trying to sell the club, but it's been stopped. They've managed to delay until the clubs in a position where the buyer won't go ahead even when arbitration is won. The reality is we have to hope we get to 40 points with Bruce...
I just was reading that but I don’t know what it means. Is it because the PL said they don’t involve the government in takeover negotiations?
The government didn't want it to go through I've said that all along. They simply don't want the potential of Newcastle taking money away from the capital.
I've been saying it for months that we need to be in a good position in February if this takeover is going to happen, but sadly that hasn't happened, so we're looking at summer IF we stay up. It's really as simple as that once arbitration is win Forget signings, forget pif buying it while in a relegation scrap post the transfer window Forget Bruce being replaced!!! It's fingers crossed.. Stay up and we get everything, go down and it's finished forever.
They discussed a confidential process with a third party. Breach of confidence and misuse of private information.
I tried telling people the government don't want big investment up here, but nobody would listen.. They seemed to think they cste about the North East... On the contrary they don't and the idea of Saudi money being pumped in up here over the decades they don't like
Of course they don’t fella. I check out this thread once in a while as there’s some amusing crack. I’m a red and white, so fire away with the abuse.. Fact is there’ll be resistance from tiers of authority that we never hear get close to hearing about. There’s a cracking sounding documentary come out recently: You’ll not see it on Netflix despite its critical acclaim, journos and the media know how toxic the Saudi regime is and how duplicitous many of them they are for doing business with the regime. You can bet your bottom dollar that a hell of a lot more will be known at a governmental level, they’ll be in kahoots with the PL to make sure a deal is never done. Blatant Saudi sportswashing in the PL is just not something that’ll be accepted by too many parties. I feel your pain with Mr. Potatohead, albeit there’s not much to go around by the time I’ve absorbed the pain inflicted from my own lot. I’d really be careful what you wish for though by pinning all your dreams on this one. FWIW I don’t think there’s a chance you’ll be relegated, you’re **** but there’s easily 3 teams worse than you.
I don't know whether thry necessarily tried to stop it (the Government.) The PL, yes. They will now pay for that. I am however uncomfortable with the PL discussing the takeover with the Government. Why? Because if the Government are involved, thst amounts to state interference in a private transaction that usurps the principles of fairness.
Sorry don't see that, the Goverment would love the Saudi's plowing money in up here because it means they don't have to,so long as their contracts with the Saudi's remain the same or get better
