Wish something tangible actually would happen rather than us adding two and two to get five. I agree him being at the match (although IMO probably against the covid rules) is encouraging we really have no idea why he was there. We are so desperate for it to happen that any whiff is putting twatter into meltdown. What harm would it do for MA/PIF to release a statement suggesting they are working with the PL to find a resolution.
It'll sick balls if it doesn't happen... I think just the hope has masked how **** the clubs situation is under Ashley, so once that hopes gone it's going to be just cold harsh reality.
I've just used the jinx of the century on another board... I fully expect this to go through imminently
Nothing we don't know but unfortunately this is the cat out the bag.. The mainstream media are sniffing around again and will start causing trouble...
It was purely about Infantino's visit to KSA. Good enough for FIFA, but not the PL. However once PL is legally broadcast in KSA from Qatar, can the takeover be re-started. For my mind, it's got nothing to do with it. Everybody with a modicum of wits knows this. It's about the closed shop and the threat to big 6 dominance. I mean, Ashley is allowed to own it, let it be relegated twice, pay **** all for advertising. **** on the fans, rename a stadium (or try to), and so on with utter impunity. When £250bn rocks up, its suddenly an issue in selling it.
The last thing we need is the larger public realising its still got legs. They'll start causing as many problems as possible hoping to be the final straw to put PIF off completely... They've already demonstrated they're not overly bothered about the purchase... If they see the hate it won't help the situation. We need it done before those arseholes like delayney start twitching and whip up the hate.
Mate, if it's as real as has been claimed, it would already be more visible in the public domain. It's not imminent.
Closed shop is a breach of competition law. Not quite as simple as the big 6 stopping it. There is going to be a massive fallout from our arbitration case.
@Roland Deschain I'd also put fwd a case that the mainstream media are owned by Qatar and as for sky sports etc they'll avoid any stories about corruption.... I mean the PSG owners case went litterally undetected unless you were looking for it... Swept under the rug before during and I suspect if he'd been convicted after.
Or it'll just go through and we'll see more reports along the lines of birds which is pretty much saying why not all of a sudden?? He was haring on this deal relentlessly.... I find this interesting because I believe the worst people in the world are controlling the media
