Read that earlier. It just gets better.

The PL are trying to stop pre-disclosure of documents. We know why. They hoped this would go away. It's not. The corruption will be exposed.

I see Richard Masters is in the Governments firing line for lack of effective leadership and governance. He is finished. The legal action could go much further and he could face criminal action in the future.

Ok. I have to admit there does appear to be a lot of positivity in the news about the resurrection of the deal. So I will give you all that!

What I don’t understand now is why didn’t PIF accept the PL offer of arbitration when they offered it in the first place?

Because they wanted them to fail it so they could appeal the full process. Ie everything not one tiny part

But if it was arbitration the PL would have no say and surely it is basically where we are now?

If the current arbitration falls in favour of the PL then it’s no different?

Maybe this arbitration is under different allegations.

Not sure and just an educated guess but the PL arbitration was going to be just on one solitary point. Whether the PL could require the Prince and Saudi Arabia to be checked as opposed to being able to cover the whole process like this one could.

Maybe they left it to the club. In defence of PIF - If they had provided evidence from the highest legdl body in their country and the PL rejected it due to influence of others, you would likely reject arbitration and go all legal on them.

When you go to arbitration it can be specified by the parties to the Arbitrator what is to be within the remit of the arbitration eg one specific point or all of it or whatever is essentially in dispute. The PL were trying to get us to agree that it was only one point and not allowing the full process to be considered.

Whereas this time it is everything and the PL are trying to stop pre disclosure because it will reveal exactly who said what.

I read at the time they wanted to take them to task fir the entire process not just what they offered... Too selective

Just seems like they all had their own agendas. The news about the Spurs approach and it being 2.5b + 1b and then PIF walked away to buy us is the reasons Spurs objected.

Liverpool objection because they where driving project six.

I can see why they believe they have a strong case against the PL.

Does make you wonder if they will settle out of court and allow it to go through so as to not leak under hand activities to the public.
