I am not fully onboard with this - it was the other clubs that stopped this because they were worried how it would impact on them. If that was the case why wasn’t it an issue with Man City, Everton etc. However to avoid this issue again I think a panel should be set up independent of the Premier League to do the fit and proper test. There are a fairly clear set of conditions - it should be easy to follow those and just pass the recommendations on to PL.
They helped stop it so it's the same wrong.. I wa going to put among other reasons in brackets got got lazy. I think something will change, but ultimately it wont help newcastle. I still think they'll come back and buy another club once we've been relegated and that'll be the final piss take.. The suffering will snowball over year of demise

Clearly they wouldn’t care as much as the fans and plus there is the Investment and return element but the bolded part is simply repeating the views of those such as the Scouse Mackems PJ Proby and the Barista on the PL Board who have been panicking over the last few months that this would go through and are sighing with relief that it hasn’t.

Yet neither Ashley or any of the buyers have stated this.. I think the premier league didn't want this to go through and that PIF were simply not interested enough to go far enough to purchase nufc... Perhaps option 2 became better or another cropped up
We have a **** team lads. We had relegation form this year and will do so again. Add to this the fact that our fans won’t be there to act like the 12th man and we are down. bruce will be sacked by Xmas.
The top 6 are the PL. They are the ones that broke away from the EFL to form the PL. It's their closed shop.
didn't they also threaten the PL that they would break away to form a European super league ?? I wonder what concessions the PL gave to make the top 6 happy and remain in the PL
thru cried cos they wanted to negotiate a bigger slice of the PL rights money to screw over the smaller clubs and threatened a euro league. let them go is what I say. It’s completely inevitable.
