Think of it, LoL. You're a DM hack who's been given Leeds (and probably other, more minor clubs) as part of your reporting remit. There has been all sorts of controversy for years & lots of easy stories with no effort required. All of a sudden, things start going ok for Leeds, but your Editor is still expecting the same prolific output that you've been producing for years. What do you do? Think we all would do the same in his position - you make it up, and carefully word it so you don't get sued. Oh, and avoid sources & quotes at any cost - mainly because there aren't any! Quite simple really. Would love to hear an alternative account for this nonsense. Can only think so something along the lines of he was Cellino's secret lover & they've had a tiff, or something equally nonsensical.
