I have a feeling in my water that something is going on behind the scenes, such as why a manager as not been given a job,Tan is in london, who lives in London i wonder.
Hopefully you've got your maths right. City and WH now safe. WH with a European final. A deal to be done?
Interesting. Spammers win Europa Conference Cup, Sullivan ends on a high and comes home to Cardiff. Free Rampant Rabbit and crotchless knickers with every season ticket!!!
Tan is wealthy but Dai and his son Jack have more than twice the personal wealth of him. It went up another notch with the Hammers securing Prem football for next season. I suppose it depends upon what Tan wants back from his investment. Judging by his demands for Kortrijk, he wont give anything away.
Then he continues to throw more money at City. He's in a Catch 22 position. Stay on and lose more money or be pragmatic and take some sort of loss and walk away.
Unless there's some way around it involving his son, Sullivan would have to dispose of West Ham before he could do anything.
Perhaps Tan will swap Cardiff for Sullivan's stake in WH. They do play in claret, which is a type of red.
Interesting that one of the things stopping Sullivan getting out of West Ham before now has gone away. "Any sale by Sullivan before March 2023 would have incurred a cost to him under the terms of the agreement by which West Ham moved to the London Stadium in 2016. Sullivan would have to pay financial penalties to the taxpayer if the club is sold for more than £300m. Kretinsky’s investment, which was between £180m and £200m, is understood to have valued West Ham at £700m." Sullivan's 39% would therefore be worth approx £280M - more than enough to pay off Tan and have a few bob over for investment.
Has Sullivan ever actually stated any kind of love or loyalty towards us?? I know he was born in Cardiff and lived in Penarth as a kid but it seems he wasn't in the area very long and has definitely stated he was a Hammers fan previously. Appreciate we could still prove to be an attractive proposition if the price is right but are there really any emotional ties with him??
He has said in previous interviews that it was his ambition to own his home town club - that's about all I've ever seen on the matter. You're right about the "Cockerny" connection. Did you hear his son Jack speaking on that documentary a couple of years back - talk about Alf Garnnett.
Here's that Jack Sullivan piece - I found it on BBC3...................... https://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/clip/de4c47eb-4450-499d-9449-afa64c37919a
I apologise. That's my breeding and education not fully understanding and realising the requirements of basic estuary English. Init!!!
