Definitely an above average Oaks winner and probably the best of the last 10 years (only Sariska stands comparison). Great KG win and then the image became a bit tarnished, maybe unfairly: fillies rarely remain unbeaten.. However her Arc run was top class and in a slowly run race which would not have suited her she displayed the tenacity to be in the shake up. That character will hopefully come through in her foals.
Good to see Hamdan coming back strongly this year and good that this filly gave Hanagan a much deserved classic. Montjeu would have been the obvious mating (so maybe one of his unsung sons) but I guess they'll try some of Galieo's sons despite the in-breeding to Sea the Stars' dam and dip into the fast Danzig line sires (but non-Cape Cross/Green Desert).
