Reports of a story in Japan that he could out of action for many months following a foot injury sustained in training.
Any news from anyone? Saints are always very coy about releasing info on injured players

Out for 4-6 months with ligament? damage to his foot.

Rumour has it the man himself is a rumour.

Also, Lambert is out until december.

There was a thread on here from just a couple of days ago suggesting that Chung had broken a metatarsal. That'll keep him out for several months, should it be true. He should be fine for next season though.

Incidentally, I see the BBC have produced an article entirely on the rumoured big injury to Rickie Lambert, which Nigel has absolutely refuted. He says he was uncomfortable in training last Thursday, but should be fine for next weekend. If not, we have several other fit strikers. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17584381

The problem is, normally Nigel likes to give nothing away to the opposition teams by declaring on the fitness, or otherwise, of his players. So when there are rumours of injuries to key players, his normal stance backfires on him a little, because people can't quite make up their minds as to whether he is masking the truth or not. Usually though, his attitude is about players who are unfit or fit, not players with proper injuries. He tends to keep people properly informed on those players.
