Burnley will be a tough test. They came to the Liberty and although they lost 1-0 they gave us a good going over in the second half.
I don't know why I bothered watching the game. As soon as I saw Karl Henry's comment that we would look to stop Swansea playing and try and win ugly, I knew really at that point it was all over. We played 4 central midfielders against Newcastle and played cr@p and we all knew that there would leak a goal at some point and lose. Playing the same set up (I was going to use the word tactic but that is clearly not the right word here) was almost certainly going to result in the same. We were poor in the first half but even worse in the second. From memory we created one real chance in 90 minutes and it was only Rob Green in great form that kept us in it. I'm sure that every QPR fan watching the game knew that a goal was inevitable and something had to be done to change the game. Unfortunately Arry and his many many assistants didnt seem to realise that and continued with the policy of simply keeping their fingers crossed and getting a point on a wing and a prayer. We have to be braver away from home and play players with pace. If we don't teams will keep coming at us knowing that we have no threat on the break. Due to having 4 cart horses in the middle of the park, as soon as we win the ball, the ball is played between the midfielders for a while before being knocked back to a defender to hoof up to Zamora. Unfortunately he wasnt playing but nobody appeared to have told the players that. One of the bright points of our season has been seeing how Isla and Vargas link up so well. So what does Arry do? Drop Isla. Words fail me. Anyway rant over. I would like to sign out by saying Rob Green and our army of away fans (who have to witness this turgid sh**e every other week or so), I salute you.
Yappy that's a fair point. I agree up until the stuff in brackets. We were better when Barton was out and Sandro in but then Kranjcar and Sandro are both sick notes and we signed them knowing as much. I think Stan might be right about Barton. He doesn't look like a footballer at all. Its time to give Mutch a run in there even though I don't know whether he's good or bad.
There are just to many Cooks (Asisstants and helpers) spoiling the broth. Get rid of the dross, If you then have one voice perhaps the message and tactics may be clearer? And the buck then stops with that person.
I think Mutch is a great player. Definitely time for him to step up and sit Joey down. I still like Niko, his crosses and free kicks are still superb (when they're on). Mutch just needs more game time, obviously, as he's been out for too long.
We really are in the ****ter this time and if we don't make a fist of our away form then its too risky I say again Harold is quickly becoming the worse QPR manager in our history and when he goes it will all be about him … he won't look back I want the ****er fully accountable Now face a Home game against Burnley we have to win and the fans are getting restless … it will take just one defeat at LR say against Burnley and the mood will sink at LR I **** you not … They are the factor that are winning us games … the 12th man With the spending we have made we should have a side that can put up a half decent performance now… i think it looks a mess IMO … Yes he has some team spirit going but that's just part of it … we look very fragile IMO
After my years in the wilderness, the scales are falling from multiple eyes.....hold on it only Swords.... Based on what evidence? I don't even know what position he's supposed to play.
I think you're starting to crack. Its not surprising. In fact, its a wonder you've held out so long Me neither. Does anyone actually know? Someone said he was a sitting player, someone else said he was an attacking center-mid and still more said he was a number 10!
I've just come off a 3 hour call on pharmaceutical pricing in Japan mate. And I have a 'debrief' call on it in 45 minutes. I'm barely able to walk and think I'm going blind. Posting gibberish on here is my only release.
With the players you have in your squad you should at least be in the top half....Your problem is down to old school football that is past its sell-by date and where most managers have grasped that fact that has been around quite a while now and have changed with it harry is stuck in a time warp and his tactics are easy for the modern manager to deal with. Harry was a good tactition a few years back but his style will only win the odd game here and there in today's modern game, He has the players to do the job but he does not want to change for some reason, and yet if you listen to him he talks a good game and he praises other teams but he never puts it into practice...Its time to move on and let somebody else take over, someone who is more up to date with the modern game...
Just from what I saw earlier in the season before he got hurt. He's strong on and off the ball and his position sense is better than Joey. We'll have to see how he is as he gets more game time
