Yep coz Fletcher took that attacking winning side we had and changed them into defensive draw merchants!!! Come on give the guy some credit he took over with a worse than 10 point penalty, won his first game in charge, has strengthened the squad without spending a penny, kept us up and done the only thing he really could have with the resources at hand....made us hard to beat. Even Mourinho is copying his tactics and beating Barcelona for a change so come on give our illiterate, uneducated, uneloquent manager a break. With the finances at hand anything better than mid table next season will be a bonus whilst we get the business side back on track then push on sensibly. Reid got more than a fair shake at the stick with an attrocious results record so lets give Fletch a chance we need a new, fresh, CHEAP manager personally I hope he decides to stay.

As I said previously he deserves a chance next season, he has earned that much and yes he has done better than the much more experienced Reid. <ok>

Given the position he started from and the limited resources available to him, Fletcher's clearly done enough to stay on.

    This season, we had 1 point after the first 9 games, which included a 1-4, a 0-3 and 4 x 0-2 defeats.

If he starts next season with 8 x 1-0 wins and one draw, I'll hazard a guess there won't be many calling for his head, no matter how boring the style! On the other hand, if it's 1 point again with 8 x thrilling 4-3 defeats, then none of us will be very happy, whoever the manager is.

Just for once 100% agreement with that one notdistant. Everyone loves a winning side however those victories are gained and I have pointed that out to the avid complainers on ATD more than once. If every game was a 1 - 0 then nobody would be complaining about the football but talking about the record points tally. Me included along with the missing 5000 who would soon tag on the glory run.
