They will never be here together, its another reason why I want Redknapp to go. Taarabt would be back and the dull football would go.

Unfortunately, there are many on here with rose-tinted specs who think he'll swoop in and rescue us from our table-topping boredom, forgetting last time as soon as we were up he was touting himself for a transfer and slagging his team-mates off. His failure to act like a professional tells you all you need to know, he'll never cut it at the highest level because he doesn't have the self-discipline or the brains to realise he's his own worst enemy...

Sorry for the delay Danish, Time diffrence and all that.
that was a good post if you are pro Adel but there are some glaring mistakes.
    1. The most obvious - Camparing Adel to Messi. Ronaldo, Bowles & Ibramovic? Come on, even you are not that niave?
    2. Im certainly no fan of Barton. Henry or O'Neil & have very openly and regularly posted that.
    3. You have managed to blame nearly every player & manager from last year for our failure, but not Adel

Again, i have posted on MANY occaisions that he is immensly skilfull and talented but has the brains and drive of a rocking horse.
I honestly thouight (and SB will back this up) That when he was given the no10 shirt, he would flourish in a position lust behind our main striker & for the first time i thought we were going to se a super player in hoops again. We know how that worked out eh?

If he were to come back, Id like to dream that he could do what he did last time, but as Beth pointed out, he hasnt even been playing for Foolham. He's had 2-3 games all season.
So thats 4 managers & 3 seasons in the Prem & he still isnt playing. How long is it going to take you to realise what is so obvious.
I accept that he GAVE our supporters some fantasic moments in the NPC 4 years ago and made everyone fall in love with the game again. What I dont accept is that he is a superstar premiership player who everyone should wrap in cotton wool and bow too
The last 3 years have proven without a doubt that there are many premiership players just as good & better than him, who are willing to put in the hard graft to improve thier game and play regularly.
What the point of having talent if you arent going to use it?
As for your Under 10's side, firstly congratulations & well done. If you want to compare medals & leagues & trophies won, then i can happily do that from a playing & mangaging side? Dont really need a p**sing contest though TBH.
Its great that kids play that style and in & a sides, but you must also acknowledge that there is still a physical side to the game. Even Barca, real etc have physical players.
There is actually a skill & art to tackling properly that is rapidly being forgotten in place of the "non contact" style of play. Dont forget to teach them that also.

So whilst i dont neccesarily agree with much of your post I do take offence with this constant drivel about wanting him to fail to be proven right. Why would i want my own club that i have followed for over 25 years to fail. Its complete crap.
As for wanting Adel to fail. i dont need to do that, he's doing an amazing job of that all on his own.
TBH though, most of this is completely pointless as i dont see him returning whilst Redknapp is here & given the choice of redknapp getting us promoted or Adel coming back a disrupting the dressing room...I'll choose Redknapp thanks <ok>

EDIT: He's actually on manager No.5 & they have all bombed him out

    COLIN
    Hughes
    Redknapp
    Jol
And New Foolham manager..cant spell his name sorry.

Are we saying then that we know better than all these proffesional managers with years of experience put together ?

    No!! didnt think so <ok>

I think bombed out is a bit simplistic Queens old buddy.

Also, as a 35 year old who should have achieved more (not football but used my brain to better effect), wasted talent in a 24 year old who everyone seems to consistently agree has bad advisors seems hard to condemn in absolute terms.

Most of us probably have regrets about our youth with the benefit of hindsight, and not just the cliched "stupid" footballers.

I'll watch him happily wherever he ends up (cue 10 years time when he's lighting up the Conference South).

He's still amazing with a ball at his feet, almost unique and that will always delight the likes of me.

thats fair enough Matt and as i was explaining to Nines earlier, thats everyone choice,
He made us all feel good about being a QPR fan / supporter at a very dark time for the club, so the admiration for him is great and always going to be a bit blinkered.
As with the 5 managers thing mate, I dont quyite see whats wrong with it.
i actually posted it expecting people to make excuses about each manager individually and why it wasnt AT's fault. Fact is mate there is more football knowledge shared between those managers than our whole support base; and they dont fancy him <ok>

Adel was and could still be a great player. Signing Chamakh to keep him company would have been the best thing to do but HR is well past his sell by date unfortunately.

Easy to say with hindsight of course.

Thanks for taking the time Queens, well reasoned and alot there that we will and can all agree on and if you read your own back you'll see you are actually agreeing with the "Adel lovers" on many aspects.
I think what grates us most is this incessant need to bring the boy down and disparage him at any opportunity which is frankly disrespectful - just look at the OP. I will refrain from further commenting on Adel or even bringing his name up, but... there is absolutely no need to try to bring down someone who has provided us with the most joy (as far as QPR) is concerned, in the last 20 or so years.
Remember, he has not done us any wrong, we made no enormous investment that has put the club in hoc. It does grate me that so much time and effort was made on a journeyman like Barton and not on Taarabt.
As for being bombed out :-
Colin was a fool - Played the right tune by making him the false Captain, making everything go through him and making him feel like the 15M player that he could be. He then lost all that trust in one foul swoop by giving the captaincy to Barton of all people.
Hughes was a fool - Didn't see what he had to start with and so once he invested in Adel it was too late for the team.
Redknapp - He has never liked Adel for whatever reason - I'll refain from calling him a fool as I know that annoys many on here. He has worked wonders before with many players of lesser skill than Adel and had the patience for them so I don't know what happened here.
Jol - Complete fool - You cannot play Berbatov and Taarabt in the same side
Rene - Been there 5 weeks, he wont even had time to see him and he is no fool and knows you cannot play Berbatov and Adel together.

I'm not trying to be a pedantic so and so but will pull you up on misquoting me - You say that I compatre Taarabt to Messi and Ronaldo - no way.
I do however compare him to Okocha, Bowles, Ibrahimovic - Wayward souls withthe Devil in them that will not produce to their fullest until pushed to.

Anyway, isn't it wonderful how so many infrequent members come back on at the sight of seeing Adel denegrated?
Swords, Thickerhoops, Queens et al - Do us a favour and yourselves - Leave us at least with our memories, do not denegrate an unfulfilled genius who at least showed he was an unfulfilled genius in our hoops.

Good post and shows the demands of a young footballer. We expect things from these youngsters that can't always be there or learnt sometimes
I didn't hear him slag off his fellow players
We have painted a strange picture of him off the field
I am only looking at what he can do on it and don't think that involves wearing special glasses
This player in a QPR shirt has done some brilliant things for us on the ball
I have never seen a better player on the ball and I have seen loads worldwide ... His vision is the best I have seen
He is out of football at the moment
I only look at his time is in
On here we have moulded a view at times that he is lazy overall , the reason why we lost games and went down and off the pitch he is a total loser

To date he has to me been our best very player and I like many on here have seen them all at QPR

Of course I still hold hope of a return he is still after all a QPR player on loan

I look today hat tipped to Harold for doing it his way and turning us into his team but it shows to me exactly the poor tactical side of Harold

Taarabt is just a player but one very good one who under the right management I hope achieves greatest

Football today is all about little snapshots what happened one week is blown up in the media I don't think like that and again say that Taarabt is the best footballer I have seen since Zidane . He is wonderfully gifted and to rubbish him ... a QPR player in the manner some have is by far IMO worse than the idea of me looking through rose tinted glasses

Until or if he leaves I will continue to give him my full support and if he did put on the shirt again I ask what do you think the crowd would be like a LR ? ... I predict a frenzy of positive song and chants and I hope to be there on that day

    Harold get us up
    Adel come home

No reason why both can't be QPR IMO

Danish, thanks for the reply and though i dont agree with all of it, much is true.
I have always said the guy has talest so your first sentence is ok there. never doubted that.
As for bringing him down, I like others on here like to have a laugh. DT & Flyer constantly slag off Harry. Others put down Henry & Oniel. Barton. AJ,Green get stick, as does SWP. These are players that CURRENTLY want to play for us. It is ok to put them down yet we cannot have a jibe at someone who deserted us when we asked him to step up? I think thats a bit unfair. If Adel get treated with kid gloves, then so should our current team who have us top of the league & looking set for promotion without a "magician". Begs the question..did we ever really need him eh?

Anyway, you have answered the manager bit as i expected someone would, & Im not going to argue with you about our managers. Just to say that all have them have more knowledge & achieved more in world football than AT. Maybe he should try taking some advice from them? 4 of them are recognised & qualified Premiership managers.....?

I havent just come back because of AT (if i read that incorrectly im sorry)- I've been here all along mate. I acknowledged him when he had a good game against West Ham last week too.
Rest assured Danish, I have many treasured memories of what Adel did and how he brought a positive side to our club. The moments of magic he produced and the way he made US ALL feel.
All I have ever said from day 1, is that I dont think he can cut it in the Premiership. Not because of his lack of skill or ability but purely & soley because of his mentality and desire.
Even the great Bowles would get pi**ed before training, but he would still turn up. And i dont remember him putting on that much weight either.
I think what grates us the most Danish is the god-like untouchable messiah staus that is expecte to be given to a (good) player who did well in the NPC. If he had done the same in the Prem then we wouldnt still be having this debate and a lot would be eating humble pie..(theres a joke there but I'll leave it for superthicker<laugh>)
Anyway, Its also wonderfull how many go into hiding when we have this debate, not because they dont want to be involved but (some) because they dont want to see others points of views as valid.
I respect your right to admire a player who gave us ALL so much joy even if I question your loyalty.
Good luck mate & good luck with the youth team <ok>

I like this lions/sheep riff you've got going Danish.

Round here we talk just like lions, but we sacrifice just like lambs.

    That one's for Roller.

Enjoy - definitely a good day at the office.

Great atmosphere and team spirit after that victory, even though he ends up wearing a Gooners shirt.

Just remembered that was the day I booked the wrong flights.

I should have booked the 19.10 flight home and booked the 18.10 instead.

We had to leave the game at 4.20pm with still a half hour left, run to Shepherds Bush Market Station for the tube to Paddington and the Heathrow Express.

We received a text whilst on the Heathrow Express that we had hung on and won the match. Great relief that we got the win we badly needed and we made our flight.

    T'was a happy day.
